I was traveling with my boyfriend to explore big bend, now let me start by saying that this was my responsibility to begin with as I did not do my research ahead of time on the small town of Fort Stockton. Anyway pictures on this hotel are completely inaccurate, lobby does not look like the images posted on the contrary place looks dead, like the life was sucked out of it, pool was dried and covered in leafs. breakfast was awful not alot of variation and staff was not helpful, we got to the hotel a little late and were not greeted properly, guy just checked us in gave me my card and when asked about food around the area he simply nodded no and went on his business not helpful. The hallway was nasty and some of the lights above had bugs flying around them. Hotel has not been updated properly and vending machines were useless. At one point our cards to our rooms stopped working after we came from our second trip to big bend, mind you we booked the room for 3 nights, we were locked out of our room for 20-30 min and had to walk to the front desk to see what had happened. Staff said that they may have confused us with a different couple with a color car similar to ours, and locked us out, had to get a whole new set of card keys. The town itself has not many options for food and everything closes way to early. Not really a fan, at checkout I walked in to the office to return the keys all I was told was to drop the card keys in a basket and that was it, no questions, poor service.
