Relaxing Retreat
We had a wonderful time at the property. The hosts are nearby, but give you your space. The house overlooks the farm store and the farm. It was nice to sit on the large porch and look out in the fields and see the goats in the distance and the piggies and the beautiful horse, Spirit. We took a farm tour with some other friends who were in the area and the everyone loved it, the kids especially because they got to pet the animals. The house has everything you need to get comfy and cozy. If we are back in the area we will be sure to stay here again.

Fabulous 5 star experiene! Wonderful house and staff
Beautiful property. Guest house is first class. Debbie and Craig (owners) are wonderful people. Our dog loved it here also. The General Store has unique items for sale and also an extraordinary Case knife collection for sale. There are fantastic wineries nearby, and a great store for food shopping (Ingles) less than 30 mins from here. We will be back!

The perfect getaway..something for every age!
This is our 6th consecutive year at the farm and the kiddos & adults have never been disappointed! Debbi & Craig always create something new every year and their country store always has some new items. But we especially look forward to seeing all the animals that we’ve petted, cuddled, fed over the years. You will not be disappointed with this property….so much to experience!

A Dream Stay
I stayed at the wonderful Cherry Mountain farm and all I can say is it was a perfect experience and every way. It was me and my 13-year-old son, and we brought our furry little friend, a-year-old Bernadal. We stayed for three nights and it was a lovely spacious home with a glorious kitchen. The yard is completely gated and allows for your dog to run free and if you choose to interact with the farm doggies. All of their farm doggies are neutered and spayed and perfectly friendly. We spent every day visiting with the other animals on the premises. We got to know the goats and the pigs and our son enjoyed a wonderful experience feeding all the animals with Debbie. Debbie is a dream host. She is , kind and communicative and endlessly giving of herself. It was hard to say goodbye and our hearts broke a little. We will return for sure. Oh and easy access to all the North Carolina has to offer. I can’t recommend this enough.

Peaceful & Fun Farmhouse Stay
My hubby and I thoroughly enjoyed our stay at Cherry Mountain Farm. The house was beautiful, cozy and very well appointed and Debbi was a lovely host. Very warm and communicative during our stay. We really loved our tour of the farm and getting to meet all the animals. Debbi has a passion for her animals and it really shows. We got some rain during our visit and it made for the perfect day to stay in and relax in the lovely surroundings. We could not recommend it more if you want a great place to get away. We left feeling very well taken care of and with new friends. We look forward to coming back.

A Bonus Visit
OK... we agree with all of the glowing descriptive comments here for the many years of people staying at the farm. The very best thing WE can say about the property, and its owners, is... this was our second stay. We came back!!! Think about what it takes to get someone to return. Well, for us it is a visit of near perfection. There is nothing to improve upon. Debbi is the perfect hostess. What do you need to make your visit a success? She either has it, or will get it. The farm and the animals are perfect if you just want to chill. This is where you go if you want to relax. We did, for six nights this time. Finally, Debbi, I am sorry that I did steal the the loyalty of the dogs from you. A box of dog biscuits is a very inexpensive bribe (Bring one.). The pigs liked them too. If you are thinking of a visit... do it!!! You will love the farm, the animals... and Debbi. Oh yes, have you ever come across another VRBO with this many perfect scores given my dozens of guests over the years? Nope! Think about it. Perfection!

Amazing and Beautiful!!
We spent 4 days at Cherry Mountain Farm as a stop before a camping outing in Black Mountain. From the second we arrived, we were in love with this farm. The house is beautiful and everything available to us was well thought out. The view from the porch was so beautiful and so roomy and comfortable with a cool breeze running through even on a sultry hot day. The General Store is huge and so fun to walk around (and shop!) … it is very much like Mast General Store and full of treasures, games and candy from your childhood past. Craig (co-owner) has an amazing display of Case knives … it is unreal :). Make sure you get a chance to visit with him to learn about Case and maybe purchase a knife. My favorite part was the barn area. I fell in love with the sweet Angora goats, the piggles, the kitties, the guardian dogs, Tank and Sadie, the house dogs, and Spirit the horse. I got pretty choked up telling them ‘see you next trip’ - they are all so sweet! Great location for venturing out. Debbi and Craig are perfect hosts and we learned a lot about their vision from start to current and left feeling like they were old friends. If I could move to this farm, I would!! Cherry Mountain Farm and General Store is by far my favorite VRBO. It is perfect for a single person or families. You will love your time away from home staying at this property! Excellent communication from start to finish, very clean AND, so beautiful!!

Family Celebration
We planned this stay to celebrate my mother’s 80th birthday and could not have enjoyed it more. The house was perfect with gorgeous architecture and great views of the property. It was well stocked with everything we needed and felt very cozy. We had so much fun spending time with all of the animals and fell in love with the sweet dogs, Tank and Sadie, and the hilarious pigs, Frick and Frack. Being able to be hands-on with the animals and spend time with them at length was a treat. Our host Debbi was wonderful. She was very personable and accommodating. I would recommend this property to anyone looking for a great place to relax in a farm setting.

A piece of heaven in North Carolina
If you’re thinking of staying at Cherry Mountain Farm, book your trip now! When I saw the photos of the house and farm on Vrbo, I thought it looked great but being there was truly amazing. The house is stunning, the porch has two seating areas, the farm is breathtaking, the animals are so much fun, and Debbi and Craig are wonderful. This was my first solo vacation, and I couldn’t have picked a better place to go. Horseback riding just a few minutes away from the farm, Asheville is just about an hour which made for a day trip to the Biltmore (and the scenery along the way is beautiful), and just sitting on the porch with a cup of coffee is heavenly. Debbi is the most amazing host – in the evenings, I even got to go with her to feed the goats, pigs, dogs and cat. Head to Rutherfordton, you won’t regret it!

Excellent in every way
There are so many things to love about this place. The cabin is absolutely beautiful and comfortable and stocked with everything you could possibly want. We loved the layout of the cabin and couldn't stop admiring the wooden beams, the lighting, the furnishings, the grounds, and the views. But, the most important thing to us was to make sure we were staying in a place that was right for our dogs. We couldn't have found a better place. The fenced in yard was big and lush and the dogs had plenty of room to run and play. They also loved playing with the Ellie Mae and Eli (two of the dogs that are lucky enough to live here!) The one mile path through the woods was the icing on the cake. Definitely worth mentioning is how much fun it is to see the farm animals. And the general store on the premises was one of the best general stores we've seen. In addition to all of that, the owner, Debbi, was a joy to be around. After a few minutes with her, we knew we had a new friend. We know we will be back every year. It was a perfect place to stay!

What a wonderful place
We have come to stay with Debbi and Craig for the third year. The house on the farm is absolutely gorgeous and has everything one think off. My favorite time is to sit with a coffee on the porch in the morning watching our dogs play and enjoying the peace when my kids are still asleep and the eves when watching the stars. Debbi is always available for any advice on outings or to let the pups out as needed. It is so wonderful to be at a place where kids and animals are loved and embraced even if not always convenient or super easy. Thanks Debbi and Craig.

Perfect Farmhouse on a Beautiful Farm!
This farmhouse alone was perfect in every way! It has everything you would need. Our family of 4 and our dog had plenty of space! Our kids loved playing board games on the table in front of the fireplace while my wife and I loved sitting in the rocking chairs on the beautiful porch! We started and ended our days on this dream porch. Mornings we sipped our coffee listening to the animals on the farm and nights we made s’mores and relaxed by the custom fire pit. The beds were comfortable and made us sleep in longer than our usual. If this wasn’t enough, this is all on a working farm! The owners are so friendly and they didn’t hesitate to show us around the farm. Our kids got up close and personal with horses goats dogs and they also had pigs! We could have stayed on the property for our entire trip and not run out of things to do. Watching our kids run up and down the very well manicured rolling lawn was magical! If this still was not enough, there is also a general store on the farm that has everything! You can pick up any missing essentials and souvenirs! As an added bonus they also have the biggest selection of Case knives I have seen! This was just a perfect perfect getaway!! So glad we found this gem! We are looking for dates already to come back! Don’t hesitate to book this place if your dates are available!
