Not a hotel, but a B&B, but not in a home. My room was under the eaves, not on the main floor so absolutely no wifi unless I went down 2 flights of stairs. Tiny bath en-suite, but down a set of stairs. Shower head attaches to wall facing bidet. No glass in bath. Room was clean, and very basic.

The hosts were really nice people. The room was good and spacious but the shower area was really small. Could barely even spread my arms. The shower gel was minimal so you’re better off getting your own. It had an air conditioner which was really helpful

The hosts are really welcoming and helpful despite language barriers. The room was very large and comfortable if a little basic. It's a 15 minute walk into town so well placed but our room was on the main road so was a bit noisy. I was surprised to have to pay an additional tax on top of the booking when we arrived but other than that had a lovely stay. It felt more like an air BnB than a hotel but no worse for it. Would have no issue to book again.

The room was nice and tidy, and in the heat of Florence in Aug, the air conditioning was definitely appreciated. As this was my first time in Italy, I didn't know what to expect from hotels, this was more like an apartment, a happy surprise. Check-in was a little strange but explains why they ask from your estimated time of arrival to the hotel, I would try to be as accurate as possible. There is no lobby or receptionist area to check in so when you arrive, you have to call the hotel contact and let them know, only they can let you into the building. I love that breakfast is also served but do not expect a continental breakfast, expect quick and on the go, which was perfect for me. The location is super convenient to S.M Novela train station (about 7 min walk) and heart of Florence (about 20 min walk or 10min bus ride). Absolutely loved my stay and would 10/10 recommend this location.

Awkward check in for the location. The hotel is extremely hidden with no signs or notice of the hotel. I buzzed the door a few times with no answer, after waiting half an hour, I called and had no answer, then I buzzed again and finally got through for the check-in. Other than that, staff were very friendly. The room was very basic, and was quite clean. The hotel is abit out the way, around a half an hour walk to the main attractions
