The property is located centrally to visit most of the typical tourist sites in downtown Rome such as Trevi Fountain, the Pantheon, the Coliseum, etc. Close to lots of dining options at various price points. We walked most everywhere, and took the Metro or a cab to a few places. Helpful staff, great breakfast provided in the morning. Elevator (small) to get bags to your room. Not handicap friendly, but our room had a nice bathroom and king bed. Will assist in reserving a cab to the airport or from the airport for ease of travel. Would definitely go back here.

We were pleasantly surprised. The owners, Ines and her boyfriend, run the hotel and made us feel like family. Everything was very clean and comfortable, and the hotel is conveniently located. We will certainly be back on our next trip to Florence!

Perfect and very safe. Great location, within walking distance from most points of attractions. Room was very clean and bed was comfortable. I really appreciated the safety precautions in that we were given a keys to main street door, then to door to access the rooms on 4th floor and the one for our individual room. Staff is very friendly and helpful. Responded quickly when asked to help navigate remote to thermostat in the room and called a taxi for us upon checking out. If you want a great location at a good price, this is your place!

Great location, great rates, friendly owners
No-frills, small hotel (eight rooms?) run by a very friendly and fluent German couple. Clean and comfortable. Breakfast is not included but is easily obtainable in the neighborhood. Fantastic location adjacent to the Piazza della Signoria (although ongoing construction makes the entrance a bit difficult to find!).

Owners are a lovely your couple, this is a small place with 8 rooms. Clean, comfortable bed, good shower pressure, air conditioned, elevator in the main building. Surprisingly quiet considering the area is very busy. No TV in the rooms, not a negative for me. There is a common use refrigerator. Good WiFi.

Nice accommodations in Florence
Loved the location and the people running it are nice and accessible. The air conditioning is the best we had while in Italy! Feels like you are living in an apartment or townhouse, not a traditional hotel experience. Very reasonably priced and great location! Would stay here again.

Cosy but must offer water and better lighting
It was centrally located and in the morning of Sunday, they had a Horse Parade from the Municipality/Police dept. Perfect to be there. A bit pricy without breakfast or water or coffee. Shared bathroom with another room .. usually not my cup of tea but it was clean. Shower area very small. there is space and it could have been made a bit better. Lighting can be improved especially for shaving.. one can barely see since the light is opaque and so high. I suggested to the owner that he just drops an electrical cord and put a brighter light!! one highlight was there was a sink in the bedroom.

This location is absolutely amazing. In touching distance of everything you want to see. The room was clean but basic, but don’t let that deter you from using this hotel as your base. Florence is what you’re there to see not the inside of a hotel room.

Really homely feel to this place, very nice and super central - right on the Piazza Della Signoria. Florence is a small city, so staying here will mean you're within a stone's throw of just about every major monument, including being about a 1 minute walk to the Uffizi and a 2 minute walk to the Duomo. Nice room, really helpful blonde lady behind the desk who was lovely and welcoming. Definitely recommend if you're in Florence - I'll be back:)

This hotel is a bit of a challenge to find as it is situated on the 4th floor of a residential building. It is more like a B&B. There was a small signage right to the door that indicates it is Hotel Por Santa Maria. We buzzed the bell and we took the elevator up. The owner of the hotel was very friendly and it seemed a family B&B business. The location of the hotel is about 20-25 minute walk from the Firenze SMN station. It is situated right in the heart of Firenze and everything was so convenient, either going to Galleria dell'Accademia or Ponte Vecchio. Although a bit traditional, I find this overall a satisfactory experience. I'd recommend to my friends.

I really enjoyed staying here! For the price, you can’t get any better. The location was perfect, the staff were very friendly. I had to share a bathroom and had no issues at all, and the water pressure and temperature were perfect! The mattress isn’t the most comfortable, and the sheets/blankets are a little thin. The wifi is great

Nice hotel in the middle of Florence
The room was small, but it was doable for two people. The location was perfect. It was so easy to get to from the train station, and everything was in walking distance from the hotel. It took about five minutes to walk to the Duomo, five to the Uffizi, and about ten to the Galleria dell'Accademia. The staff was very kind and they kept our room and bathroom very clean!

Not so great
The location couldn't be better, but it was not a comfortable stay. There was low-quality water-proof mattress protector underneath sheet, so it felt like sleeping on plastic bag. It was raining that night and the noise from rain water running off the roof splashing the out-building was loud and annoying. i spot two mosquitoes in the room. The room is very small, though the bath room is spacious.
