A beautiful island with ability to snorkel straight off the beach plus you can watch the whales passing by. Loved seeing all the turtles and fish on the coral.

Loved the location. The rooms were okay not resort level more budget level, needed an update. Staff friendly especially at the fish hub.Jenna was awesome on the kayak tour. The general store was a huge disappointment, very low stock , looked and felt depressing and as expected expensive. Great environment and staff but the resort needs some TLC

Liked: Cleanliness, amenities
Lack of food options, we respected their rules of not bringing our own food/snacks and consequently regretted it, the general store had very little stock, breakfast and dinner -good menu but food barely warm, paid $30 surcharge for Sunday night restaurant dinner it was very nice food but served almost cold, couldn’t get a decent coffee all long life milk don’t understand this when the ferry is going back and forth at l ast two-three times a day
Lots of issues trying to book activities. Was told I could not book anything by the people who book the activities but was told by other staff they were the only ones who could book the activities. Apparently the issue was they assumed I was not staying at the resort. After I had walked back and forth a few times and got that issue sorted I was then booked in back to back activities and told the times and the staff even wrote down my schedule for me. Turned out my scuba safari started 30 minutes later so I had to leave earlier to get to my next activity. The staff were all nice enough - but very disorganized.
Room ok - a bit dated. Bed quite hard. Quiet area which was nice.
Fitzroy Resort staff went out of their way to make our stay enjoyable. Katie at the front desk answered all of our questions and made great suggestions.
The 3pm check in time and 10am check out is a bit rough if staying only one night. There is no flexibility in those times which was disappointing. We arrived on the 11 o’clock ferry and had to wait until nearly 3pm for a room. The restaurant food is aimed at a teenager taste; chips and burgers. Nothing healthy. The Vietnamese salad is terrible. Nothing Vietnamese about that, mostly cold noodles with a tiny bit of green. The cook should take a trip to Vietnam to see what it supposed to look like, with heaps of vegetables and little noodles.
The one bedroom apartment we paid good money for was uncleanly. Our dinner reservation wasn’t fulfilled even when booked hours ahead of time. Beds were uncomfortable.
Love the location and who wouldn’t?
The place is very run down and not worthy of an overnight stay.
Day trip for the location experience is a must!
Also very noisy rooms if staying below one of the three floors as the floors are wooden beamed not concrete.
Wonderful location with great snorkelling straight off the beach. Our room was dark with view of stairwell. Service generally good except at Foxy's Bar where it was poor. This might be due to the staff having to deal with the daytripper hordes all day but they need to be a bit less offhand and complacent with the staying guests remaining after the last boat has left for the day. Dining options were limited with the main restaurant very overpriced with small serves.
The Staff in Zephyr Restaurant were absolutely brilliant & the food was superb.
The Bathroom was not clean & a bit of elbow grease wouldn’t go astray. Room itself was comfortable & quiet.

We had a nice stay, the location is great. Id like to see more staff in the bar areas, We stayed in 2020 and the food choicea and cocktails were far superior than 2024. Id think thats cocktails would be the big selling point and what many people do when holidaying.
Our stay on Fitzroy Island was everything we all had hoped for. Our accommodations were amazing and having the balcony with the full open accordion doors made it perfect.
Everyone was kind, helpful and went out of their way to make the stay amazing.
The food at both restaurants was fantastic. My granddaughters loved the croissants.
Ty and John were fantastic on our Guided Snorkel Adventure.
Hated to leave, but we take the magical memories with us.
Our main door did not lock. So at 9pm as I had just finished showering the kids a man pulled our door open and said we were too noisy.
The stair ways up to our apartment had animal faeces and junk in it. The Smell and visable mould in the second bedroom was unbearable to stay in.
The staff were nice and snorkelling was amazing. The pool was beautiful.
The employees are incredible. So friendly and helpful beyond normal standards of service. Can’t rate them high enough. The facilities however are worn, broken and on a horrible state of disrepair
