I travel this time of year from Dallas to Fairfield for our family reunion. A lot of the family stay here. For at least the last 3 or 4 years. For 1st time i was disappointed. The room was clean but smelled of dampness mildew almost. There were crickets everywhere. Cockroaches. There were flies and little nats. I turned the temperature way down and killed the flies and the nats. Some personally. I still will stay there. There are not a whole lot if choices and i feel maybe it was just a bad day. Also, did not like that the attendee left my signed check-in sheet on the counter. I had to ask him to put it up when i see it still there when i came back through. Not sure if the i s any personal info on there. I didnt really read it but it was not comforting. Otherwise, Its a newer hotel and convenient. Hopefully, this was a one off. See you guys next year

It was a good stay. We have a pet, they have a nice pet area. My husband didn’t think the AC was working correctly, we always take a fan that helped. Would stay there again.

The Manger was trying so hard to keep up by herself with check ins. She really needs more staff. She was kind & courteous. Some of the things at this hotel are out of her control. I’m sure she has told management the issues at hand. It’s obvious it comes from a higher power that they are not resolved. Fleas & crickets chirping in my room that kept me up. The room smells as if it’s mildewed. They allow pets but it’s obviously not cared for like it should be. My dog scratched with fleas all night. The lights flickered. The plumbing under the sink is exposed and looks like something from an abandoned home. The exit door remains unlocked always and anyone can get it. It’s not safe. I would have traveled a lot further to have something better than this.

We booked the room with the anticipation that it would have two complete beds and the Hideaway sofa was a single bed with no sheets no pillows we had to ask for everything and the people were less than friendly about it

This property was nice, clean and well maintained inside. It could use attentions outside. The plantings and their surrounding areas need an attention to detail. The view out the breakfast room is not inviting. There are tall weeds and it is not well mown.

Did not bath towels in the bathroom. Found 2 used wash rags still hanging over the shower bar. Should have looked before getting in the shower. Also the smoke alarm went off during the shower, looks like the steam from shower maid it go off. We ran the shower again and closed the bathroom door, alarm didn't go off until we opened the bathroom door.
