It is close to Glacier Bay, Diamond Beach and the Ice Caves. It is a serious hike from Reykjavik on a desolate road so you have to be committed to heading out to this area. If you are Fosshotel Glacier Bay is a fantastic choice. Fabulous food was quite a surprise. Try the tasting menu! The spa area was the only downfall. In a country known for their hot tubs and spa this hotel did not live up to the standards it set for everything else. Still I highly recommend and would absolutely return.

Beautiful property! Room was comfortable, view of ocean amazing! We had the Christmas feast and the lamb was incredible. Our favorite dish was the smoked sheep, service was excellent. Filipe took wonderful care of us. The breakfast buffet was an added bonus.

The room was very cozy and the bed was very comfortable. There are very limited dining options and the dinner menu at the hotel's restaurant was expensive. However, the breakfast buffet was delicious. Also the staff was very friendly.

They had a very nice restaurant. Check-in was easy and they provided convenient, easy-to-use laundry service. The room was warm, nice, and comfortable. Their breakfast buffet in the morning was the best one we had throughout our two week stay in Iceland, so many tasty options to choose from. The staff was all friendly and helpful. We would definitely stay in another Fosshotel if we return.

Beautiful hotel, loved the solitary location. Great for nearby hikes and the diamond beach as well as the glaciers. Restaurant had really good options for dinner- meat, fish and veggie. Breakfast was well worth it. Rooms - delightful! Robes, picture windows and everything was clean and cosy. We used the wake up call for the northern lights and were lucky to see them. Canā€™t fault this hotel!
