This small hotel has an interesting history and is very close to shopping and the Exeter Quayside. We received a very warm welcome on arrival, with tea and biscuits. Our bedroom was very comfortable with a well appointed bathroom. Although a limited menu for dinner the food was freshly prepared, plentiful and delicious. Breakfast is excellent with fresh orange juice, pastries, and a good choice of hot dishes. Loved the pancakes, bacon and maple syrup! Like dinner everything was freshly prepared. Service was friendly, nothing was too much trouble. The only downside is the lack of parking on site but there is plenty of on street parking and a multi storey car park is only three minutes away.
