The host cancelled within a few days of travel, with a flimsy excuse of double booking through an alternative platform. Given the timescales involved none of this rings true and I’m furious that I had to book alternative accommodation at short notice and extra cost. Customer services were absolutely no help, kept yawning through my call, and made the Booking with confidence guarantee a joke. I will wait for my payment to be refunded but I’m seriously unimpressed. Sending me a chance to review my stay adds insult to injury.
