It was awesome hearing the seals. The place was prefect. Kitchen was nice and the refrigerator was a good size. Queen size bed in 7a slept well. Loved the place and location was great doing the hikes in Redwood National park.
Wonderful cabin, fully equipped. We’ve been traveling for the past three weeks and View Crest is easily the nicest place we have stayed. Highly recommend this place!
Cannot say enough good things about this property! It was the perfect spot! Could see the ocean and hear sea lions from the cottage. Staff were helpful and kind and the breakfast delivery was a nice perk.

Disliked: Staff & service
Ceiling fan in main bedroom was broken, no chairs and table on front porch, WiFi is spotty. Unit 8 is up front on road and beware of seals howling all night long.
Took the extra large cabin just for my wife and I to have extra space… Paid a lot of money for one night only to be told they would bring chairs to front porch so we can enjoy wine and cheese on our 35th anniversary but they never brought any. When I told them about ceiling fan they said they would let maintenance know but that didn’t help us for our one evening. So slept with windows open to listen to the seals all night and the occasional cars driving by our window.
Would not return to View Crest.
Disappointed
This was such a gem! It was a last minute booking, and it was beautiful. Wonderful clean cabin. The owner was so nice and helpful I wish I would have known about this place years ago. I would love to return again for a longer stay.
I loved the park that was nearby, and we loved the staff who were super friendly. They recommended all the places we should go eat and when our tv wasnt working, they came right away to fix it. They also had a little breakfast that they bring each evening so we could eat it whenever we got up.
We had a great experience and would stay here again.
Our cabin was very spacious and we loved having the full kitchen and gas fireplace. The bedding was comfortable and the bathroom is large with double shower head. Counter space was also generous.
We had initial concerns that it might be too far from the redwood parks we came to visit, but it worked out well and we appreciated being near to Trinidad where we could do grocery shopping at Murphy's (which was excellent) and catch dinner.
We really liked the room. However here are a few suggestions. A bedside lamp with a charge port would be great. Also a small table next to the upholstered love seat and a floor lamp in the same location would add greatly to the amenities. Overall it was a very nice suite.
It’s a surprise for my husband and me to spending a night in such a nice place. Every single castle very quiet in the forest with huge trees around, we could hear the sound from sea lion from Seaside in the morning. The place was very close to the redwood park also the seaside. It was a wonderful experience there.
Lovely big room. Nice front desk. Peaceful and beautiful gardens, a very cute unique experience to be able to feed the chickens and see the llama.
The only con is no dining on site. But the town is close enough( be aware everything closes super early)
Included breakfast was just ok.
