Check in was Rude, Nasty, Unprofessional and did not listen to our needs, then not in the least bit helpful or understanding.
A recap. My husband is handicapped and we travel with a dog we request ground floor (which was expressed when making reservations). We had also explained during reservations that we were here for a medical procedure.
Upon check in the desk clerk checked us in then proceeded to tell us our room was on second floor, when we told her this was not what we requested she became snippy. My husband is standing there with eye patched and using a cane and AFTER checking us in informed us there was no elevator!! I requested our reservation be canceled and money placed back onto our card, she told us she would have to check with her manager and ‘if’ approved we would get our money back in 5 to 10 days.
We are retired folks and cannot afford money held up like that, so reluctantantly took the room. No help was offered as I struggled to get my husband up the stairs, came back down for our dog and made third trip for overnight bag.
The room was clean, maid service very friendly when asked for second pillow.
