Very Good

Stayed one night arrived at dark left at 7am. Nice spot having a drink on the deck listening to the loons was nice! Would go again. Wish we could have stayed longer.
Excellent location, on the lake. Friendly staff and fishermen around.
Family swam and enjoyed that.
The "cottage" we stayed in was more like a cabin than a cottage. It was very rustic. Dishes were older and not enough cutlery for all of us. Kitchen table and chairs were wobbly and breaking.
It did the job for 1 night, but there was a smell coming from the sink/behind stove that wasnt pleasant.
I reported to staff, and they said they would look into it.
Overall, we wouldn't stay here again. It is probably great for fishing and boating, not great for families with young children. Good alternative to camping.
Communication, the web site describes a restaurant on site, it doesn’t exist. No one was available to greet us and to tell us how to get to our cabin.
On the morning of our expected arrival I received a text saying there was trouble with my payment. ( I had believed that I had paid for the stay at the time of the booking ) at that time he also sent me a pre arrival form, it asked about wether linens and towels were needed and how much (?)
The cabin itself was cute A frame with beds available on the 2nd floor up a very steep stair located perilously close to the wall. There were soft spots on the floor covered by relatively new laminate. It was clean. Coffee maker, kettle, microwave, stove fridge were clean and available to use ( no coffee). Having never been to this resort before or having had rented a cabin before it really would have been nice to have it communicated. It was expensive for what was provided.

Place was out of date and there was no restaurant or wifi. Owner was nice and the view was beautiful but other than that subpar.
Cottage was lakefront, view was great. Washroom a little tight. Had rain all night when we stayed and lots of killer mosquitoes next day. Still reeling from mosquito bites lol. Pack good amount of repellents if planning to stay. Very serene and quiet for relaxation. Only twelve minutes drive from town of Espanola. Mark and his dad were were very accommodating and communicative.
Overall, it was great.
As Canada's top UFO Hunter & The lead researcher of the Unknown Intelligence Communication Project (UICP), I can honestly tell you that the Espanola area and Lang Lake resort in particular, is a high volume UFO traffic cordor Which presents unique opportunities to view unknown anomalies in the night sky.
We had a great stay and the host was extremely helpful. Provided everything we needed.

My family and I absolutely had the most wonderful time at the cottage. It was beautiful and the view was absolutely stunning. We will definitely be making this a yearly thing. We'd like to start going every summer and maybe winter. Weather was cold but we still had a blast and loved the wood stove. We will definitely recommend lang lakes to people.

Liked: Property conditions & facilities
Property is good but the room we got was dirty, but it was changed to a better room and a clean ones too. Food is not available and no bar as well
More of a suggestion. We had to check in really late (not resort fault)so it was already dark. The property could probably use some more lights or a map of which cottage number is which as it was really hard to find to in the dark and for safety reasons.

Water supply needs to Improve
Not enough water supply for the whole house kitchen & even 1 restroom stripping water. Free Wi-Fi but so disappointed.
We spent 3 days and 2 nights. Management was very inviting and responsive to our needs. The cabin was immaculate and had all the things we required for our stay! It was a ten minute drive to town for groceries or other needs.
The only concern we’d have is that not all patio chairs were in the best of shape, so not all of us necessarily had something to sit on while out on the deck.

Use less detergent when washing towels and sheets. The smell is unbearable. You can see that a lot of it has been renovated and is very new. The surroundings are very nice, but the facilities are old and a bit dirty.

We enjoyed the location of the property. Lakeside and close to Espanola for supplies and Manitoulin Island for excursions. Advertised as a "resort" but is really a basic cottage. (fine by us). Enjoyed watching the fishers and had the urge to try fishing again myself. Be sure to go to the property's website for proper costs.
The area is beautiful and views from the room were great. The description claims there is Wifi which we did not get, and a restaurant/room service which is not true. A breaker kept going off turning off lights. Mouse feces on the fridge and also on matress of the pull out couch. Were not given a key to the room, just told to go in via text.
