Beautiful property. Loved everything it offered. Kihm and Hope were excellent hosts. Surprised with lettuce abd beans from their garden-delicious. Blueberries on site made from a great desert. Loved the view from the barn deck. Darrell is now my 3rd favorite cat. We enjoyed feeding the horses and hearing Kihm's stories. Great vacation thanks to them.. we'll be back

We could not have had a better stay. I’m reluctant to leave such a good review because I selfishly want to be able to book a stay again in the future with ease! All jokes aside, everything was perfect.

Beautiful Setting
This is the most well stocked VRBO in which we have stayed. Eggs from then farm chickens was such an added touch. The setting is beautiful. My daughter’s graduation pictures ended up looking like we picked a professional photographer. Note, the shower is upstairs only and the steps are steep. There is a deep bathtub downstairs, but for my older family this presented a challenge.

Always just what you need.
This was our third time at Hard Aground. Always an amazing experience. We had my parents join us for a few days. Plenty of room for everyone to be more than comfortable. Of course they didn’t want to leave. Who does? I would recommend this experience to all!! Kihm and Hope are always accommodating and quick to answer any questions.

Family weekend getaway
My husband, myself, our daughter, son in law, and our 5 year old grandson had a wonderful weekend at the Hard Aground Farm. Our grandson loved feeding the animals, and exploring around the farm. It's a great place for all ages. Quiet atmosphere, in a beautiful country setting. The farm house is equipped with everything you need. The owners were very kind and welcoming.

Wonderfully peaceful and enjoyable family getaway !!!
This farm has something special about it that warms the heart and allows for intimate social gathering. The farm owners, Kihm and Hope, were terrific hosts. They are both very kind and interesting people who are readily available but provide space for guests to fully enjoy their endearing farm. The were very inviting and allowed interaction with the farm animals for our young ones to enjoy !! Being secluded yet close to regional activities made this vacation so special. Very clean accomodations and fine accoutrements. I highly recommend this property for anyone and hope to revisit in the near future !!

Memorial day weekend
Had an amazing stay. The house was adorable and very cozy. We had a great view with the barn in the back. My kids and I all enjoyed being able to feed the horses and chickens as well as collecting eggs and meeting the bull, stear, and yearling cow. They were curious but not enough so to stay to close. We had a fire where we cooked hobo pies and smores. Absolutely loved our stay. Kihm and Hope were awesome!!!

We had a wonderful time. The house was very well stocked with everything we needed, from cooking spices to extra linens. Our hosts were very quick to answer any questions, and made my family very welcome. My daughter especially loved to help find chicken eggs each morn. House was centrally located to many restaurants and amenities, and the local dollar general was very well stocked.

Winter Wonderland
Is there a better place to be snowed in at then Hard Aground Farm…. I think not. With everything snow covered and frozen we weren’t sure how our get away would go! It was amazing. Beautiful views, such a warm cozy house, and all the amenities you could want. Our dogs absolutely love to play around the barn and yard. Don’t let the cold and snow stop you. This is the place to stay! We had just as much fun here in the winter as we did this fall! Kihm and Hope truly make you feel like you are Home!

What a lovely escape
This rental had stars, horses, a sweet barn cat, chickens, big sweeping views. Inside, it was cozy with modern kitchen amenities. We played old records that made me cry for my childhood. Lots of warm blankets and a big cozy bathtub. I am hoping to book a trip back right after I hit submit on this review.

Don't Miss out on Hard Aground Farm!
The home and property were fantastic. We felt very welcome and comfortable in the home. The owners had the home well prepared and stocked down to fresh eggs in the frig and peppers from the garden. The kids loved giving the horses treats and had room to run and ride bikes between the rain drops. Even with the bad weather while we were there, we found plenty to do within a 30 mile radius and even drove to Niagara Falls. I recommend this property to anyone and may return myself. Cambridge Springs has a rich history I was not even aware of when we made the reservation and the fall colors were beautiful.

So many thoughtful details here
We stayed at Hard Aground Farm for two nights to celebrate our daughter's birthday and we had a wonderful time. She was so surprised to find a gift basket waiting for her when we arrived! The house was very well stocked with everything, including games and puzzles, which was a lifesaver when it rained for one day. Our host Kihm was very nice and we got to feed the horses and chickens during our stay. The fresh eggs in the fridge were another nice surprise. There were multiple restaurant recommendations and maps in the house which were helpful (we loved Riverside Brewing Company and the golf course restaurant). We brought our dog and Kihm even had a little chew toy for him. He loved it. So many thoughtful details to make Hard Aground Farm a home away from home.

Perfect Getaway
My wife and I along with our 2 Dogs visited here for an extra long weekend and we could not have picked a more perfect place with more caring and attentive hosts. (Not at all intrusive. Just very friendly, informative, and accessible as you need them to be or not be.) The entire experience is just incredible. From the beautiful views, the access to all of the amenities the farm has to offer, and the relaxing peaceful feel of the entire property. And the house itself feels like home right away. You have to play that record player., with a stellar selection of records. The pictures, as good as they all are, don’t do any of it justice. So spacious. Great space for us and our fur family. I would highly recommend this to all! Pro-Tip: Donuts at the local market are only on Fridays. So stock up for the weekend.

I never wanted to leave the porch.
Hands down, the best part of our stay was the hours we spent on the porch. It was a wonderful view, quiet, and there was plenty of seating for our group of 7, plus a handful of friends who came for an evening, too. The kitchen was EXTREMELY well stocked--both with cooking tools and food basics--the fresh eggs were a delicious bonus. There were plenty of towels, pillows, and blankets, including several blankets for our four-footed family member. The record player and record collection was a hit with 3 generations. Wifi was great. Inside seating was plentiful for the full group, as well, which isn't always the case. For those traveling with family members or friends with mobility challenges, it should be noted there is only one shower and it is up a steep set of shallow stairs. There is a giant claw foot tub, though, on the first floor. We had a great visit, and the host was incredibly responsive to our text questions. We never waited more than a few minutes for a text back.
