Cottage with original stone facade overlooking via a large terrace overlooking the sea of Trapani and the Egadi, near Erice peak (800 m.), Carefully furnished and equipped with every comfort, allows you to accommodate 4 people, clearly a family group or friends. The house is independent even for only two people who want to stay in privacy.
Given the splendid position, in a frame between the forest above, and the Chardonnay vineyard, it offers the opportunity to enjoy the silence, walk on the CAI paths, to visit the splendid medieval village of Erice and other nearby places of historical and artistic interest in world famous. For nature lovers also admire the flight of the autochthonous bird of prey, the Bonelli's eagle in late August, watch the chardonnay harvest. For children at S. Matteo there is also an adventure park.

We had a wonderful stay and truly can’t recommend this cottage enough. AnnaMaria was a pleasure to work with - she was incredibly responsive, helpful, and genuinely warm and kind throughout our stay.The cottage itself is rustic in the best possible way - simple, comfortable, and full of character. It has two rooms plus a bathroom: a bedroom with a stunning view, and a main living space that includes a well-stocked kitchen, a small table perfect for eating or working, and a daybed that functions as a couch for watching TV.The kitchen had everything we needed. The bed is on the firmer side, which will be perfect for many guests. We prefer a softer mattress and found an easy solution by using the very thick mattress pads from the daybed in the kitchen - this completely transformed the bed and made it extremely comfortable. With this option, the bed truly works for everyone.The patio is absolutely spectacular and would feel like an additional living space in warmer weather. We stayed for a full week and loved every minute of it. The WiFi worked well for everyday use; for Zoom calls it was a bit spotty at times but still doable.The location of this cottage is unbeatable - overlooking the property’s vineyard with sweeping views of farmland, Trapani, and the Mediterranean Sea. It is peaceful, private, and completely free of nearby neighbors. Staying here truly felt like an adventure and a retreat all at once.If you’re looking for a place…

Lovely Location and Great Value

The house is situated in a vineyard with fig trees growing around the house. It is a 25 minute walk up the mountain road to the medieval village of Erice. Trapani is the main town and is about 15 minutes by car down the mountain. The mountain road (SP3) is steep with hairpin bends, so it is best to hire a small car like most of the locals. Anna-Maria who owns the property is delightful and very helpful although she does not speak English. If you rely on SatNav, please note that the SatNav will only direct you to the start of the SP3 road. We got caught out by this and got lost and had to phone Anna-Maria from a hotel. She was great and came and met us. However, once we knew where we were going, the house was easy to find. The house is a small stone built property with a terrace overlooking the vineyard and a hammock as well. The interior has a double bedroom and a sofa bed in the other room which doubles up as a kitchen and dining room. There is a small bathroom with a shower. The kitchen is fairly well stocked. The only thing that we found to be missing was a tin opener. The only criticism that I would make about the furnishing is that the mattress on the double bed is a bit like a camp bed and was not particularly comfortable. There was also a bit of a smell in the bathroom but i think that this is probably inevitable bearing in mind the location of the house. We found that there were some provisions in the fridge which was very helpful nd also some local produce for sale, including local wine which was delicious. As well as being close to Erice and Trapani, the house convenient for other places if you want a day out such as Palermo. We had a very relaxing stay and thoroughly enjoyed ourselves. I would certainly stay here again and would recommend it.

Very nice stay.

We were one week at this house. It is a perfect place for a lovely holiday. We loved the vieuw and the location. The reception bjj Anna Maria was very sweet. Communication with her is also perfect. With Google Translate you come a long way! :) 5 stars!

Grande Panorama - tolles Hideaway

Es war eine superschöne Woche am Monte Erice, die Lage ist wirklich atemberaubend. Und auch die Anfahrt!! Nachts, vom Essen heimkehrend, sind wir oft „hinten herum“ gefahren, an Erice vorbei… Also: Terrasse und Aussicht in natura noch schöner! Man ist für sich, die kleine Straße hinter dem Haus stört nicht. Wir hatten eine solide und zuverlässige Kommunikation mit Anna Maria. Sie hält eine kleine Auswahl an Getränken und eigenen Produkten im Kühlschrank bereit (Wein, Öl etc). Aber man kann alles zur Seite tun und sich einrichten. Es gibt nicht sooo viel Stauraum, Kleiderschrank ist vorwiegend okkupiert mit Decken, Kissen etc… auch die Küche könnte etwas mehr Raum bieten für das eigene Zeug. Aber es ist alles da, was man braucht und basta! Man kann sich einrichten und das haben wir gemacht. Bett bequem und groß! Badezimmer etwas „nostalgisch“, aber okay und sauber. Und mittlerweile gibt es ein kleines Überdach auf der Terrasse, was sehr angenehm ist. Abends etwas geschützter und auch morgen kann man (später) frühstücken, ohne gleich zu verbrennen… Also - wir bedanken uns nochmal bei Anna Maria für die schöne Zeit! Und empfehlen das Häuschen sehr gerne weiter!! Grazie e a presto 🍀🍀🍀🥂 Ciao Bernd

Sehr schöne Lage

Die Lage des Hauses ist wunderschön. Die Terrasse in den Weinbergen ist fast noch beeindruckender als auf den Bildern im Internet. Leider ist das Haus selbst nicht optimal ausgestattet. Es fehlt auf der Terrasse an bequemen Sitzmöglichkeiten eine kleine Überdachung wenn es regnet wäre auch wünschenswert. Getränke, Pasta, Tomatensauce, Olivenöl oder Wein wird vom Gastgeber zu erhöhten Preisen in solchen Mengen angeboten dass für die eigenen Sachen im Kühlschrank leider kein Platz mehr vorhanden ist. Die Sauberkeit vor allem von Geschirr lässt sehr zu wünschen übrig. Auch in den Schränke ist kein Platz vorhanden um seine Sachen unterzubringen. Trotzdem haben wir den Aufenthalt sehr genossen. Wir würden uns für den nächsten Urlaub aber eher eine andere Unterkunft suchen.
