Moldy mildew smell and damp carpet
The room stinks like mildew - floor was wet around air conditioner - paper peeling in bathroom and mold was visible - everyone was very nice and room was clean as far as housekeeping - but the smell and dampness and mildew will keep us from staying - on our way home we’re staying at Fairfield inn next door because we cannot stay in this hotel again

Room size was good. Room was clean. Small indoor pool was good for the kids. Glad they had a treadmill & exercise bike, because running outside didn't seem safe due to the road it was on.

First thing we noticed was the smelly room. Extremely difficult to sleep but exhausted after a 9 hour drive so we stayed. Second was the bathroom. The grout around the tub was disgusting and cracked tiles on the floor. Definitely would not stay here again.

As the room rate is cheap, the breakfast is also low-quality. I recommend another restaurant for breakfast. Other than that, the room is clean, etc., so it is generally good.

Like the property for its convenience to I-95. I've stayed at this location in the past. This stay the room (rm123) had an odd dog like odor to it. The bathroom toilet would keep running so you had to close the bathroom door to sleep. Office chair had weird white incrusted stains on it. I wouldnt recommend this hotel but, it meets my needs out of convenience.

I don’t know what it is, but Choice hotels do not stay up on their regular maintenance. Things are always in need of repair. And this place had a terrible musty smell… Really gross. The beds were comfy, and everything appeared clean, but in need of upkeep and repair, and the smell is just dank and musty and gross.

Um. Just read it.
Wellllllll. Booked this hotel as a last minute trip to Virginia for my dad and I because it was about $100 cheaper than we normally stay (this shoulda been the clue). I quote my father, “the shower is like taking a bath with a bucket with holes for the shower head.” Also found a USED, DIRTY CONDOM in the drawer by the bed. I mean we had 2 trash cans in the room. Breakfast was 7/10. Staff was super friendly and helpful.

Overall this was a good stay. Good breakfast with eggs, waffles, muffins, sausage, yogurt, and cereal. The room was very spacious, though it had some stains on the carpet and furniture. One of the big negatives was there was no house keeping, including even just making the bed or getting more toilet paper.

You get what you pay for. As the cheapest of the 3 hotels in the area. The toilet had a ring around and was running from the time we opened the fort until we checked out. The popcorn ceiling was flaking off. People were outside camping in the lawn in lawn chairs.
