This house is immaculate!! Kitchen is stocked with your needs. Comfortable beds that make you almost not want to get up! Excellent communication from the host.If you are going around the Hays / Ellis area with friends / family put this house on your list!! We will be rebooking if our schedule allows!

This is a great place to stay!! We used it for six guys for a golf weekend. We were hunting birdies, not real ones. This place is very nice, clean and comfortable. It is set up for large groups and you will not be disappointed.

Wonderful facility and we had a great family get together. I was concerned about the description of a dormitory style hunting lodge, but with separate bedrooms for each couple it was perfect! It was quiet, peaceful, scenic, and a delightful family time for us all.

Softball tournament

We made this reservation for a place to stay during a softball tournament and a place the whole team could stay. This place was amazing! The parents and players had such a great time, the lodge had everything you could possibly need, and it made a great weekend and an experience for the girls that will be a great memory for their future.

Excellent place for family reunion

This was a wonderful place for our family to get together for our summer trip. This was our immediate family of 14 adults/teens and 5 kids under 10. Everyone/couple had their own bed and we still had some sleeping areas if we would have needed. The beds were very comfortable and plenty of pillows as well. The living room seats about 7 and the table another 10 so if we would have been limited to indoors it might have not been as comfy but the covered patio was perfect. With the outdoor chairs there and then a few more camping chairs we brought it was an excellent place to gather and relax. There was adequate grass space to play yard games. The Traeger grill was fantastic. The lake was 25 min southwest and had a nice beach/swim area. 100% recommend this site for a family retreat.

Wonderful

What a wonderful place to have a family reunion. We had our parents, all my siblings, nieces, and nephews. Everyone was comfortable and close. The kids enjoyed exploring in the pasture and the adults enjoyed chilling on the porch. Definitely recommed!

Graduation weekend

This property was perfect for our family. Our son graduated from FHSU on Friday and our niece graduated from HHS on Sunday. This property made it possible for our entire (16) family to stay in one place. The views were amazing and the location was perfect.

Son's Wedding weekend

The Lodge was a great choice. All families were allowed to have private bedrooms. The outdoor patio and privacy of the location was exactly what we needed. I would recommend the Lodge highly for large family gatherings.

Five Stars Aren't Enough!

The accommodations were a perfect fit for our family reunion. We appreciated that the sleeping area could be closed off from the noisier gathering areas of kitchen, dining, living. The kids loved the open spaces (inside and out) and everything was well stocked for seamless days. Wish we could physically move it closer to being a central location as I think we would book it on an bi-annual basis! We had beautiful weather and the prairie was at its best.

Grew up in Ellis, local hotel needs an upgrade, so i rented the lodge. It was better than i had hope. worth the money! Can only say good things. well equipped with kitchen and out door grill. 5stars
