The hotel is located next to the family farm on the lake. Beautiful grounds and a beautiful, inviting lobby and restaurant. We ate at the onsite restaurant and the food was innovative and delicious. The breakfast buffet the next morning was very varied, plentiful and delicious. The rooms were comfortable but small which is not unusual for Iceland. The bathroom was small as well but manageable. They have free parking which is nice. They also provide wake-up calls for the northern lights and we were fortunate to receive one. Excellent property to take advantage.

Beautiful views right on the lake. Very comfortable room and bed. The staff went above and beyond with any request. Good restaurant. Great midway stop in our trip that allowed us freshen our clothes with their washer and dryer.

It is a very nice property. Staff was very friendly and helpful. The spa was great. Breakfast was good. I think the only con was there was a very strong sulfur smell in the Bathroom/Shower water. Otherwise everything was great.

Dinner in the restaurant was excellent, with local produce cooked perfectly. All the staff on the hotel and restaurant have been super friendly and helpful. The location next to the lake is pretty and peaceful. Taxis are hard to find here, but it only took 25 mins to walk from the airport.

A very pleasant 1 night stay at this charming hotel. The hotel offers breathtaking views of the lake and is just 1-2 minutes away by car from the main town. The hotel also has a hot tub and sauna. While the sauna is undergoing renovation, the hot tub is very relaxing, especially after a long day of driving and exploring. There is ample free parking available right in front of the hotel. The breakfast spread had a good number of options, even for vegetarians.

Enjoyed our stay. Hotel was very charming with a friendly staff. The food was excellent. The room was clean with nice beds. The shampoo and conditioner that was available was so good. I will be purchasing some when i get home. Pizza place up the street was good as well.

Great hotel with lots of flair and super clean
Such a cute hotel by a lake. Has a lot of flair with objects in the common areas to look at. The room I stayed in was under the roof and looked so cute and was on the larger side for a single bed. Their restaurant is nice, but - as with all such venues - expensive by north american standards. It also doesn't have the flair of the rest of the hotel, because it seems like hotel guests are herded together in an overflow room that is somewhat separate from the actual restaurant unfortunately. While dining there, every local was taken past us into the actual restaurant and it was just tourists in the room I was sat in. So skip the restaurant, go into town and find a place to eat maybe?) but the hotel is fantasic

The room was clean and comfortable, and it was spacious compared to other hotels during our trip. We were also able to use the laundry facilities which was very helpful. The stand out part of our stay was the food! The breakfast that was included with our stay was a full spread with tons of options, not the typical “free” breakfast. We highly recommend dinner at the hotel restaurant. It was our best meal during our 3 weeks in Iceland!

The best breakfast we’ve had at a hotel. Wonderful variety and presentation. Our dinner was equally great. Having a chance to use the hot tub, cold plunge and sauna after a full day of hiking and driving was lovely.

I stayed here for one night in August with 3 friends. The location on the lake is absolutely picturesque, the spa was relaxing, dinner at the restaurant was delicious and their breakfast spread was the best of the 5 or so we experienced on our ring road trip.
