The Moxy serves its purpose admirably. The price of a room is expensive but fair. It is Edinburgh, it is very close to the airport, it is August. Compared to prices within Edinburgh it is quite reasonable.

Convenient location
The benefits of this hotel is its location to the airport. It is a quick walk to the terminal, ideal for an early departure. There is no noise from airplanes - it’s very sound proof from outside noises. Additionally, you can take the Airlink bus100 from the city centre, get off at the Airport Hotels stop, and the Moxy is steps away. It’s so convenient that we took the bus back and forth to Edinburgh city centre for dinner in the evening. It takes about 30 minutes each way but costs very little. For anyone doing a stopover in Edinburgh, staying here would be ideal. We also received a 10am check in after agreeing to become a Marriott Rewards member - it was wonderful that the receptionist let us know of this perk. The only downsides may have been specific to this stay. We were in room 460 which may have been under the gym? The noise above us sounded like elephants and wasn’t ideal for sleeping. The cost for a nights stay was shocking particularly with the conversion to Canadian dollars, but it seems like that is Edinburgh during high season while the Fringe festival is happening. All said, I would stay again because of the convenience.

We had an early flight out of Edinburgh, and needed a hotel near the airport. The Moxy isn't the closest airport hotel, but I dare say it is the one with the most character. It had a fun vibe, a good restaurant and pleasant staff. The room had what we needed for our last night in Edinburgh.
