Great location. High end finishes and spacious room. Excellent staff at front desk. Downsides: room would not cool and heat was off. Mini washer/dryer - washer ok, did not dry at all. Capacity minimal and 4.5 hour cycle. Mattress quality was well below the rest of the amenities.

Great little place in the New Town area with shops and bars around it. Nice decor and clean and modern. I would say it was pretty noisy at night as there was a party somewhere out the back each night but it was a weekend and they do provide ear plugs and the windows are pretty sound proof when shut. My main issue with the room was the lighting! There were spotlights in the ceiling that were very dim and so it was not possible to get a bright light. There were a variety of lamps which gave a nice ambient light but sometimes you need to see what you are doing and it was basically too dark. Also the usual issue with plug sockets; why don’t they ever have one near the only mirror??! It’s so annoying when you want to dry your hair and it won’t reach to where the mirror is. Other than that would stay again as minor issues.

The room was so specious and loved that there is a cute cafe right on site. We were a little surprised because it was pretty cold outside but the room got so hot at night. While they do have some rooms with AC, this one did not and while we would typically just open a window, this room was on the lower level with street access so we didn't feel comfortable doing so. Otherwise, we loved this room and the location is fantastic.

We loved this hotel for our 7-night stay. Having a kitchen and especially a washer/dryer in our room was fantastic. The location is great, the service was excellent, and the room was very nice. Only downside was the noise level at night because there is a popular night club next door, but the room had earplugs and a white noise machine, which was nice. I would definitely stay here again.

The staff at the hotel was friendly and helpful. The beds were comfortable. We appreciated having a washer in the room. The breakfast was great at the cafe. The location is close to everything we wanted to see.

Both my fiancé and I would have to say our start at Eden Locke was one of the best we’ve ever had at a hotel! Great location - we walked EVERYWHERE; it was a 20 minute walk from Waverley station, 15 minute walk to Edinburgh Castle/the entrance of Old Towne, a street over from Prince Street, and a 30 minute walk to the botanical gardens - very friendly staff, and the room was awesome. It’s also a 20 minute bus ride to the zoo!!! We felt at home in our little studio and it really made the experience of traveling feel a little less foreign as Eden Locke truly became our “home” base to return to street a day full of adventuring sound Edinburgh. The hotel even offers complimentary yoga and they also offer city tours! Eden also had a lovely like cafe in its lobby called Mavyn that offered GF treats for travelers, like myself, who have wheat/gluten allergies!!! Highly recommend! We will definitely be staying at other Locke hotels again due to our exceptional first stay at Eden!

Perfect location in the centre of Edinburgh where everything was easily accessible. Fringe venues nearby but not too close, so no adverse affect on this hotel. Open top hop on/off bus, the green route, was excellent with live commentary and we got to see and learn about the history of the city. The hotel staff couldn’t have been more polite and helpful to make our stay pleasurable. Would thoroughly recommend.

Great stay
Lovely interiors and quirky design of apartment- very clean and fresh. Our one-bed apartment had big windows (double-glazed) overlooking a nice street, sunny and much quieter than expected in festival season. Staff were so welcoming and helpful- providing an extra mattress topper and fan for our comfort. We loved the beautiful cafe downstairs and would definitely stay here again.

Lovely modern aparthotel. Separate sleeping area to living area and kitchen. Large modern bathroom. Everything you could want home from home. Wish I could have stayed longer to make use of all the facilities. Would definitely look to book an Eden Locke property again
