Brittania is about the worst hotel I have almost ever stayed in and I am 81.
No one would help me with the luggage from the room to the lobby and my room was about the furthest away from the lobby.
The window in the room could not be opened, so the room became very hot as the cable, which held the window open with 1 cm at the top could not be opened further.
There was no telephone to the lobby from the room so one had to go all the way to the lobby for any kind of communication.
Only caffeine tea in the room, I asked for herbal non-caffeine tea, but they had none and would not get some. Almost no help in the lobby for travel, however David was helpful one day and helped me book a trip to the highlands. I have a U.S. cell phone and I could not use it in Scotland.
No wifi in the room as there is in every hotel I have stayed in for many years now. Fortunately a staff member did let me use her wifi as I was somewhat desperate to have it in the room as I had many emergencies at home during my stay.
Good things: the room was quiet with a very nice view of the trees outside and the river walk below was a blessing walking to the farmers market on Sunday and other walks.
A lot of improvements of the above could easily be done with little effort or expense, if they were willing to give good service to the guests - but the willingnes may not be there by instruction from the management.
I would never recommend for any one to stay at this hotel and I certainly will never do so again.
