Room was meant to be a Signature Castle View room but was on ground floor with views of the bins through filthy windows. The room was tired, and awfully decorated, with peeling, cracked paper in the bathroom. I managed to move rooms to a slightly better condition room but would have left if it wasn’t for the festival being on and availability being low and prices being so high. The staff were lovely about it and at breakfast, which was a pretty good cooked buffet.

The building itself is a grand old place that is showing its age but still clean and functional. The room we stayed in was big and comfortable with a very large bathroom. Staff were very friendly and helpful. The restaurant served delicious food and the breakfast selection was varied and fresh. We thoroughly recommend Braid Hills.

Lovely hotel , nice friendly staff, nice breakfast choice and nice, clean room. Nice hotel cat too! Only thing I would say is the hotel is not great for people with accessibility difficulties due to the amount of stairs and no lift.
