My wife and I remained at Burlington hotel in Eastbourne from 9th till 13th August. We booked a superior room with sea view. The photos deceive the traveler as the real condition of the room is unimaginable. The room (117) was on the first floor; it is true that it was facing the sea but being on the first floor, the noise of the street and the noise of old floorboards were unbearable. Among three windows, only one could be opened. We asked only once for the room to be cleaned. The cleaning service was limited only to collecting the trash. They did not even do the bed nor change the towels. In fact they did not even collect the towels from the before the shower. The shower floor was dirty and in really bad condition. The window in the bathroom could remained opened with a piece of wood beneath it and taking it off, it was possible to open it at all. The corridor was dirty and smelled really bad. There was a dog poop on the corridor floor. Unfortunately though we film and photograph the room, we did not document this scene which was horrendous. There were two old lifts, one stopped working for one whole day. As mentioned before I have documented the condition of the room and I will send an email separately about this. I would like to fill an official complaint. The hotel came up as the first choice in my research on Expedia. It is marked as a three stars hotel, it is not even one. I would appreciate if you could assist me with the complaint.
