H2 Hotels are newer properties in Germany- the H2 Seestern has a very new feel, spacious common area (dining and lobby) and easy parking. Rooms are tight, and not much in the way of amenities; however, the room was clean, bed was good quality, and the AC was welcome. Only real complaint was lack of power outlets- and what was there was inconvenient to access. For the modern era of smart phones, pads, earphones, Smart watches, etc - lack of easily accessible power points is a major failure in a hotel room.

Room kept warm by air conditioning that hardly worked, seemingly by design. I only wanted my room to be the same temperature as the lobby but was always very warm, making it hard to sleep. Furniture in room very awkward; not able to do anything other than sit on bed. Shower very leaky with drain clogged in final days. Key card for room door stopped working due to battery issue that required prolonged maintenance episode to fix. Not happy about my stay there and unclear how why it has such a high rating.

Room with two bunk beds were extremely functional and beds were great. Rooms are not five stars for the smelly pillow I had to set aside and the paper thin bath towels. 10 stars for the world class breakfast and the amazing staff of the front desk and breakfast. Parking is expensive but it works. Be aware of the city tax though.
