For the most part, it was a great stay in a tiny cabin with a shared bathroom/shower and kitchen. However, a man who was cleaning staff entered our locked cabin using the passcode TWICE in the morning without knocking. This is unacceptable. Once was at 8:30am way before our check out time, and then he came in again later in the morning even though he knew we were still there. It did not feel safe. They should respect check out times and our privacy! At the very least if you want to clean the room earlier, knock on the door, say housekeeping, and wait for a response like a normal hotel would.

DO NOT STAY HERE
We had to pack up and leave after just a few hours because when the lights were off, the COCKROACHES came out. My kids and I were watching a movie before bed and suddenly I spotted bugs running across the floor. Never packed up so fast in my life. The kids were screaming. We told the manager and she literally said "I'll let the owner know" and ran inside the office, turned off the lights and seaked out the back door. Not surprised in hindsight with the gap between the bottom of the door and the frame/door jam. I called the owner the next morning and thankfully was given a refund, but we ended up having to drive from the middle of nowhere to Fresno with 3 kids at 10:30 at night.

It was HORRIBLE. Our first room has been swarmed by ants during the night. So we asked for a new room which was accepted BUT this one didn't have a working door lock. So we asked for a new room which was better. Until the morning when we were again invaded by ants. We also did a laundry, which cost 10 dollars, and didn't clean anything. The restaurant is expensive and not incredible. I could go on and on but I think you get the idea. There hasn't even been a commercial gesture after all we've been through. Only one positive things: the woman on the morning really tried her best to help us, she was nice. RUN AWAY !!

We had a great experience staying here, and our 2 dogs also loved it. I considered it as "glamping" as you share showers & toilets with others staying there too. It was very clean, no odors, beds were comfortable, have AC units, the gift shop was so affordable compared to the shops in Hume Lake.We bought t-shirts, jewelry, pocket knife, and shot glasses. This place is very dog friendly and we will definitely stay there again. For those saying its so loud because of the road, honestly after 9pm you dont hear anything. Yes you can hear cars pass by here and there but its very settle and they provide ear plugs. Im a light sleeper and was able to sleep very well. My husband, my 2 college daughters, and myself loved it. We didn't get a chance to eat at the restaurant so we can not rate it. Just be thankful its there in case you are hungry, restaurant options are low out there, remember you are in the mountains not in the city! Enjoy

My daughter got a sliver of glass in her toe from the office style carpet in the loft. Then both of my daughters that slept in the loft had flees in their hair this morning! Wouldn’t have stayed a second night even if we could. Also, poor description on the joint shower areas and the photo wasn’t even of the “cabin” that we stayed in. The ladder to the loft also had huge gapped steps not particularly safe for kids under 10. The room was also hot as heck until 10pm when it finally cooled enough for the small AC unit to do its job.

Gena’s unforgettable shacks
The decorations of the first shack was great! The “cabins” don’t have bathrooms in them but there is a restroom and shower outside. When you’re washing you can pick which shower companion you want such as frogs, cockroaches, flies, ants or spiders. The bathroom is shared by everyone so don’t expect much privacy. The beds in the shack are very dirty with crumbs, hair and stains all over the sheets. Every time you go on the ladder to reach the second mattress on top, the ladder feels like it’s gonna collapse on itself. There are three shacks that don’t have any windows, so once you turn off the lights you won’t be able to know if it’s night or day. Overall a horrible experience!

Overall the property was convenient and comfortable for what we needed. Access to the national parks is within 30 mins. The rooms were nice and cool and check in was easy. They even provided an email with great links to some of the best sights to see around the area. Having a restaurant onsite was convenient but expect to pay high prices for mediocre food. We were up early, but I can see how some travelers may find the road / truck noise loud in the mornings.

Prime spot for National Parks.
Pretty chill spot with on and off wi-fi but the connection to the tv was great. Room was small but with two beds, a restroom and closet-the space was used well. This place did not have a fridge or microwave like other places but it did have a dinner spot-just watch out for the wasp that are outside. Can't complain much since it was a safe place for me to sleep and park my car. My dog got fleas in the area so just put a flea collar on your pets if you are staying there because the summer heat does bring them out. This place was a prime location for the 2 National Parks which is the main reason I chose it plus a good spot for foodies with the coffee shops and the pizza spot near by.

We liked the location, relatively close to Sequoia national park. The food at the restaurat was also good. However, the room was really tiny, especially the bathroom, so cramped that I had to avoid hitting the tablet above the sink when standing off the toilet. The air conditioning, already on when whe arrived, was working well, but was old and very noisy. We had to leave it on the whole stay due to the heat outside (over 37°C). Don't get me wrong, everything was functional, but the room was not worth the price asked. This is worth a 75$ CDN per night at best, not the 190$ CDN we paid. Also, in the property description, a "shared refrigerator" was mentioned. However, when I asked for a space on the fridge, the employee told me I had to pay 10 USD per night.

Great location, probably the closest stay to the entrance of Sequoia and King’s Canyon NP. It is an old original building, but newer AC unit, and there is WiFi! Reasonable priced.
