Cleanliness left a lot to be desired.
Reception seats filthy and overall hotel is shabby
For starters needs thorough cleaning from front of house to bedrooms
Over all the experience was great . Bill in particular was so welcoming and made our stay so welcoming . And the staff in the bar were also very friendly . Bedroom was perfect for our requirments . However there was one staff member who was bordering on rude . Announcing who would pay for a round of drinks in front of us all . And came back to tell us the price of the drink when I ad just paid the bill was always going to pay for the extra drink . Other than his unprofessionalism it was lovely.

It was really lovely... really quiet also. Bed was v comfortable. Tea a d coffee is not provided in any bedroom because of. Covid 19. A tablet is provided instead of a phone. Breakfast was b good
Large que for breakfast using same cloth to clean all tables moving milk jugs between tables without cleaning staff under pressure obviously managment errors in staffing and training compared to other hotels I have stayed at
Poor service at breakfast. Tables Not cleared in a timely fashion. No clear Breakfast room manager. Order taken wrong and got hot food brought out with cereal. Asked to keep it until had cereal eaten and was ‘Tsked’ at. Complained to front desk - all I got was a sorry. It appeared as if there were new hires being trained in but they were not interested or up to the task.
Room was very basic but got what was paid for.
Not good value. Grubby and unclean. Will not return
Carpets in hallways were dirty. Unused delph or cutlery was not removed from tables after meals. Tables not cleaned properly. No sign of anti bacterial spray used in restaurant, especially in these covid times is worrying. 45 minute queue for breakfast even after booking the time slot in advance.
Bedroom overlooking a dirty rooftop. Didnt feel it was value for money. Hotel felt dated and grubby
Good location
Had a lovely stay in Lawlors. Very central, couldn’t be any closer to the town centre.
Didn’t manage to get up in time for breakfast unfortunately but have eaten there before and food was great. Thanks, I’ll be back!
Excellent food in the restaurant and very reasonable..very hard working staff and they were also very friendly

Nice hotel , but it needs a step into modern times
Staff where very nice given the circumstances
The hotel and it's rooms are really showing it's age
Though . I know it'll cost a lot but a refurb will do the world of good
Stayed for 2 nights.. great central location in the town which is the reason we returned.. staff friendly and helpful.. room was a peculiar shape with the bed tucked into an alcove with little space on one side and only 1 bedside locker... room very warm with underfloor heating in bathroom on full on the first night... this was rectified by staff for our second night.. .. breakfast was standard
Did not know the residents bar was not open. To obtain a drink you had to have a meal which the cheapest was 22 euros. The length of time you could stay was 90 minutes. I thought being a resident you could avail of the bar but there was no drink available once the kitchen was closed. Hotels are just operating as restaurant/bar. Sorry to have wasted hard earned money in staying overnight.
We needed a place to stay in Dungarvan for the night and the hotel is in a great location with fantastic access to the greenway and centre of town. I'm not too picky but the hotel is badly in need of some refurbishment. They seemed to be doing good business so I'm not sure why the decor and cleanliness are stuck in the 80's Staff were friendly and breakfast was better than expected. I would not stay again at the weekend as the walls are paper thin and I was kept up all night in a room that was already too cramped.
Lawlors is a fantastic family run hotel which always offers an exceptional level of fantastic service. Dungarvan is a beautiful place to visit.

Good but bot up to potential
We did find the hair dryer as previously posted not finding. The breakfast was wonderful and again this could be a gem with just some help with interior rooms and hallways
Lovely homely hotel. Blazing open fire. Beautiful room with great view of Dungarvan harbour. Right in the centre of town. Stayed here a good few times and will be booking again.
The hotel is well situated with respect to the bars and restaurants of the town and certainly on the Saturday night I was there lively with young people. Breakfast service was excellent friendly and efficient, choice was average, orange juice tasted like inferior concentrate made up with water. Room was comfortable adequately equipped but decor particularly narrow corridors are very dated. Value was good.
