Was welcomed with a smile rooms were very nice disabled parking was a bonus staff very helpful & a good assortment for breakfast would highly recommend & would use again thank you for a pleasant stay
We used the Adamson as a base for fringe festival. Was really easy to get in and out of Edinburgh and park at the train station which was very close to the hotel. We had a family room which was great value for money. Very clean, staff super helpful and we would happily stay here again. Great stay.
We had a lovely evening a stay the rooms were very nice and very clean the staff were brilliant so friendly the food in the restaurant was excellent and very reasonably priced I would Definitely stay here again
We had 2 separate family rooms, one had moldy shower curtains, would have been nice to have hooks in the bathrooms and a place to keep shower stuff in the shower. Breakfast wasn’t great with just white and brown bread, greasy eggs, sausage / ham, not many healthy options.
Exceptionally loud music from the bar area into my room. This wasn’t on from the moment I got to my room at 19:00hrs until around 23:10hrs.
After finally getting to sleep, the occupants of the room next door then returned at 00:24hrs, proceeding to shout and go in and out of their room continually - banging the door until around 01:34hrs.
After staying at this hotel a number of times previously and having a reasonable nights sleep, I won’t be booking again after this experience. A shame really, as the staff have always been nice and friendly.

Liked: Staff & service
The sofa bed in the family room was very uncomfortable.
The shower had very little pressure.
The bowls for breakfast were still dirty with the remains of food stuck to them.
Perfect overnight stay so we could fly the next day.
Took us 25 mins at 5am to get to Edinburgh airport.
The staff in the hotel couldn’t do enough for us. Really excellent service
Stayed one night to collect a relative from airport. Cost of hotel was good. Check-in was easy, room was a single so small but that was as expected. Main issue was the cleanliness of the room. Bathroom was not very clean especially the shower which was old and hardly any power. Worst part was a ‘silver’ metal shelf unit that had more rust than metal showing. The bedroom had dirty skirting boards and other areas that hadn’t been touched.
The bed had no head board and was underneath a window as a result the curtain was resting on my head when laid down. I had to open the window and push the curtain outside to resolve the problem.
Breakfast was ok and unlike many included in the price. Open 7-9am I came down at 0750 Tea was in a flask and only lukewarm, food stuffs were ok but they had ran out of beans after being open 45mins and said they didn’t have anymore.
Hotel served its purpose but not great sadly
One of the nicest hotels we have stayed in. Would highly recommend to anyone looking to stay in the area. Could do with USB ports in the room, but that is it. 5 stars all the way. Well done to all staff members, they were fantastic. 👏👏👏
A well maintained property in a quiet part of the town. Rooms were spacious, well kept and clean. Staff were quite friendly and accommodating. Has an in house restaurant which serves yummy food. We paid for the breakfast but only continental was the major part of breakfast, for vegans.

Fantastic, friendly, speedy check in. Lovely reception bar and restaurant areas. Room needs a bit of work, handle on bathroom door was hanging off and carpet had a rip in it. Overall very clean and great staff. Walls are thin so you can hear everything from the other rooms!
Staff were very friendly on arrival, plenty parking too. Room was clean good TV. Room didn't get to hot either.
Only downside was the shower as the water pressure was non existent.
