Horrible. I signed a paper saying there would be a fee if the room was smoked in. The room smelled like it had been smoked in for 50 years. Overpowering! I told the clerk, and he said he wouldn’t charge me. Didn’t offer me a room that didn’t stink. Our room door was open when we got there. Reason being it didn’t lock and if you gave it a good push, it would open. There was a pubic hair in the tub. There was also no handle to turn the shower on and off. The pool looked like you would leave with a yeast infection. Will never go there again.

If you’re looking for a place that combines the charm of a haunted house with the ambiance of a truck stop bathroom, look no further than Downtown Dover Inn. The corridor leading to my room looked like the set of a low-budget crime drama. Faded carpet, chipped paint, and a vibe that screamed “don’t linger.” The door barely closed, and the only thing welcoming me was the smell of despair. Lighting: The lampshade had stains that looked like they were part of a forensic investigation. If you’re into abstract art made of mildew and mystery fluids, this place is a gallery. Security? I had to plug the bottom of the door with towels to keep the cold air out. I didn’t book a camping trip—I booked a motel. And speaking of guests, there were actual people loitering outside my room yelling into their phones like they were auditioning for a crime drama. The air vent was hanging open like it was trying to escape. Behind it? A dark cavity that probably leads to Narnia or a raccoon family reunion. Bonus: the wall around it was cracked like it owed someone money. Bottom line: Great location if you want to walk to dinner. Terrible if you want to sleep, breathe, or feel safe. Stay anywhere else unless you enjoy discomfort and regret. don’t be fooled by the pictures they have on their website

Don’t stay here

Tv remote not working, no chain lock on door did not feel safe, it’s basically like a homeless shelter, people doing drigs in parking lots teens walking around barefoot, staff on personal phone by pool. Did not try pool because vibe was weird seemed clean enough but like the soaps and lotions were small disposable type but had not been changed out they weee used.

There’s a sign at the counter indicating that there’s breakfast starting at 7 AM and it also states online but there is no breakfast offering. When you stood in the shower, the water would rise around your ankles. The walls are thin beds are reasonably comfortable and it was good for late arrival and early departure but overall a pretty mediocre place to stay.

1. cafeteria was small and not so organized/clean, needed a tending to by employee, most hotels have someone there in the room full time, cleaning, organizing, stocking etc., this one did not. 2. room seemed tired, the bathroom had marks on the wall from someone's wheel chair tires in the drywall. Fixtures looked new and the tile, but not sure if the work is "in process" or underfunded. 3. many guests smoke right outside the rooms, so you had to walk through the smoke. 4. our A/C was missing the grill inside. 5. walls in the room had dirt above the bedframe, weird, and an odd odor when you walk in. Disappointed for sure, pictures look better than the actual hotel.

Memory foam bed was extremely uncomfortable, pool was out of service for maintenance, room had a mirror angled towards a window with no privacy shade. Had request a new room.

I give it 5 stars for the price. It had exactly what we needed which was 2 comfy beds, hot shower, and quiet. We stayed in side by the pool which was closed for maintenance
