I always stay at Inn on Ferry (or Inn at 97 Winder if I am going to a concert at Little Caesar's Arena) when I go to Detroit. Clean, green, good breakfast if you want that, easy parking, knowledgeable staff, amazing baths.
Each room unique. Old house modified only for safety code and left antique appearance.

Liked: Cleanliness, staff & service
The windows were rotted. The room was noisy. The flooring in the hall was threadbare. The cable tv didn't work. It was stuck on ESPN. The Eight OClock coffee was the best part of it.
Nice historic place with old charm. Comfortable stay and large room. Nice attached clean bathroom.
Mattress was too soft for my back but that’s a personal preference. Overall very nice experience
Beautiful historic homes have been wonderfully preserved.

Disliked: Property conditions & facilities
This hotel has declined a lot in the last twenty years when I began to ho there. The breakfasts are not as good as they once were, they charge for parking (which was once free), there were half a dozen stains on the carpet in my room, no where near enough toilet paper in the room, no bath mats and not enough towels etc etc
It's an old building so be advised it's not quiet nor isolated. No A/C either so just be aware. It's super clean tho and the price is right for the area.
Needs a clean update, the carpet was so old & hadn’t been vacuumed as there was ash on carpet. The electrical outlets were so old they would hold our phone plugs.
