Nice idiosyncratic hotel
Charming, if a bit odd. It clearly wasn’t designed to be a hotel. My room was very large and comfortable. The shower is big and luxurious. I didn’t dine in the restaurant but got a croissant to take out. It was made in house and remarkably good. I wish I’d had a meal in the restaurant. Try to avoid a run in the back side of the hotel, especially on the lower floors. There’s noise and the trash dumpster every morning around 5:30, especially on Thursday when the trash trucks arrived.

Red Wing Getaway
Great choice for taking in a Detroit Red Wings game. Easy Uber there and back. The room was spacious and comfortable. Would definitely stay here again.

I went for biz. My room had an issue and the staff could not have been more attentive and nicer!!! My whole stay the team with John, Lacey and Sara to name a few. The engineering gentleman was wonderful, too. DETROIT has a gem in this hotel!! Food was amazing too! Sierra

Stayed in Detroit for 3 nights with a couple friends. Loved the Foundation. Rooms were clean and well appointed, towels were great, shower big and roomy. Our sink didn't drain well. The downstairs bar and restaurant were welcome, but we wish there had been a lobby to use. Staff were great, valet parking too. We'd happily book here again.

Cobo hall video screen should have a night light
Great facility and great service. However, our room faced Cobo Hall (now called something else) with a very big video screen that was on all night long and the blinds didn’t screen out the pulsating color changes. Also one side of the room was very dark
