The indoor/ outdoor pool feature is awesome!
We always enjoy staying here as it has a nice sized pool for the kids that is an inside/ outside pool. Only a disappointment if there is a lightning storm the pool will close due to this feature. But we have remained lucky to enjoy it! Rooms are clean.

I came down to breakfast at around 8 am with my grandkids and there was no pancake mix and no coffee. Went to front desk and the gals that worked in the kitchen area and the front desk clerk were visiting in an office nearby. I had to inform them that others were waiting for pancakes and coffee.

I traveled with my 2 daughters & 2 of their friends for a 2 night stay. Right off the bat... great location! Close to dining, gas stations, and shopping. Hotel is beautiful, staff was super friendly from check in to check out. Housekeeping did a great job, very efficient and friendly as well. Breakfast was great both mornings, they had a good variety of cereals, yogurts, hot foods, & drinks. The girls loved the room, the hotel layout and the pool area. (They are all 11 & 12 year olds) This will definitely be our go-to place when we are in the Des Moines/Johnston area for a stay! 😁😁😁😁

I loved the decor on the property. It was like a northern Minnesota lodge and it was awesome! The staff was very accommodating when I checked in. I had my 85 year old mom with me and they quickly found me a different room near the lobby that was handicap accessible. The pool area was very nice with an indoor/outdoor pool and a nice hot tub in the corner separated from the main pool area.

For the money, it’s a great stay. It is an older property, so manage expectations. But the staff and service couldn’t have been better! Also, do not rely on the complimentary breakfast, as it was pretty disappointing. The bartender on Friday and Saturday was great. She made a delicious lemon drop! Would definitely stay here again.

The evening lady at the counter was awesome! Bartenders were awesome. The facility design and layout is so cool. We stayed in the lower level with the pool and there was a moist odor but down from the pool you'll have that . Overall this place is great.

Such a comfortable and welcoming hotel! The staff was friendly and helpful- giving us recommendations on food and information on the local event we were attending. Everyone was laid back and extremely accommodating. Room was clean and cozy and well appointed. And the pool! Really big for a hotel pool, in a large room with many places to sit. Fireplace looked nice (it’s summer so it’s not in use). Plus the pool is indoor/outdoor- such a fun novelty! Everything was great. Wish they would open one in Michigan!
