This property notes that it follows the "Wyndham Green" policy which works to reduce water and power by reduced towel and bedding turnover. I am all in favor of this but there is a major issue. There is absolutely no where to hang towels and wash cloths after use for re-use. You have to pile them on the toilet/ sink/ or shower curtain bar. I would be preferable to have towel racks installed to hold (and allow to dry) the towels/ bath cloths. Also, a hook to hold clothing while showering would be preferable versus again piling them on the sink or the floor. As to bedding, we spent two nights and while I am very much ok with not having the bedding changed, at least make the bed so it looks like a proper hotel. Additionally, if the beds can not be made (with the same bedding) at least have someone take out the trash from the micro-trash basket so it can be used without the potential of trash overwhelming it. It does not appear that anyone did anything in the room at any point and again, I'm ok with reduction in labor, etc. but a few things like trash removal would have been more pleasant. This info was provided to the front desk on check-out as a positive reinforcement for future guests. The person at the front desk was not even aware of what was in the rooms as they are not allowed to see the rooms to know what guests' concerns might be so this should be amended as well.

I tried booking an overnight stay fo online for Saturday night. The screen had the correct night on it but after I put in my information the date switched to the next Saturday without my approval. When I tried to cancel the incorrect date, I received a message that it was nonrefundable.So due to an error on Expedia's website I ended uyp pating for a night that I was not even in Ankeny. Unless I am refunded for this I will never use Expedia or stay at a LaQuinta again. Unacceptable.
