The house, situated on the canal, is beautifully restored and the owners, Pam and Marcus are beyond welcoming! The homemade apricot jam was still warm on my croissant. We were lucky enough to get the first of the cherries in season. The two expats have had several lifetimes' worth of adventures-- it's hard to leave, but you're inspired to go on and have some adventures of your own. It'd be a great place to have a writers' retreat, solo or with a small group. Au revoir, we hope.
