This hotel isn’t horrible…but it isn’t good. Perhaps a “fair” rating would be adequate?
I booked this hotel without looking at reviews, which, like many others have said, was a mistake.
My arrival to DFW was at 11:45 am, and it took 50 minutes for the shuttle to come. The waiting area at DFW was a bit sketchy, hot and humid, and smelled of exhaust, so these 50 minutes were hell.
Finally, the shuttle came, which is basically an old, beat up van that services 6-8 hotels, driven by drivers who go a bit too fast (no seatbelts, either!).
The hotel was okay. I looked for bugs when I got there and didn’t see any. More importantly, I looked for bed bugs (which I was freaking out about, since other reviews had mentioned this). There were no bed bugs, just as there was no hot water in the shower (the bathroom sink, interestingly, did have hot water).
Bed was comfy. Furniture was old and stained. I set my luggage on the desk so it wouldn’t have to come into contact with the stained fabric of the furniture.
Would I stay here again? As a solo male traveler looking for a few hours of sleep: yes. Traveling with my wife: no. Traveling with family: absolute NO! I wouldn’t trust anyone to be on the carpet, and even I wished I had sandals.
Good luck in your travels…but do like others have said and shell out a bit more money for something better.
