We checked in and went up to our room. There is a metal stip attached to the dresser/tv stand that was loose and sticking out about 12" creating a safety hazard because it was sharp. The closet door latch was broken so did not close. The room (and hotel in general) is clean. The front desk staff is very friendly. When I went down with pictures to show the clerk he seemed genuinely concerned. I told him we were only there 1 night and didnt mind staying in the room due to the late hour I just didn't want to be charged for damages we didn't do. He said he would report the items to maintenance. My grandaughter said her bed was hard and uncomfortable (we had a double queen room).

Staff was fabulous! Great suite!! The deodorizer on the bottom floor was awful. Intrusive to my eyes and sinuses. Fortunately my room was at the end of the hallway so I came In And out the side door and used the stairwell when going for ice on the upper floor.

Room weren’t clean when we got there we waited 2 1/2 hours to get checked in our room their weren’t any room cleaned at check in they stated they where over booked the night before which was so unfair to us after traveling 16 hours on the road

Best evacuation choice
After evacuating for Hurricane Beryl, we needed a quick place to stay. La Quinta was the best place for us. Plus, my husband and I stay here last year and the stay was beyond exceptional.

The air conditioning in the room was making loud noises all nigh long making it difficult to sleep. And the tiles on the bathroom floor are not properly installed. They are loose and have cracks in them. The shower also doesn’t provide a curtain for the inside of the shower so water is just seeping through and getting the floor super wet, making it a slip hazard. Other than that, the hotel was clean, and staff were friendly. It’s not the best but you only stay for convenience.
