There was a lot of homeless people around the front and the inside was dated. The first room I had I immediately went back to the front as it smelled musty and the carpet looked filthy and bare. I checked out after the first night. As a woman traveling alone I felt unsafe. The staff was so nice and switched my room the first night and apologized about me not feeling safe and said they would refund me.

Hot tub was out of service, pool area was dirty, bird’s poop everywhere, murky water with dead bugs and no working filters, green algae growing around pool walls. The room was decent but found blood on ironing board and on a lamp shade for one of the wall lights. Staff was very friendly and helpful though.

I checked in and was given a room that was already occupied. How does that even happen? I went back down to get it fixed by the manager and was moved from the floor with the rest of my party as I had booked 4 rooms for my group. Our rooms were not a "city view" room like I paid for. The city view is the side of the hotel overlooking the pool and the actual city. The room was clean and the location of the hotel is nice and close to restaurants. My issue occurred when me and my friend were resting and someone just walked into our room with a key that the staff had given them. They then sent security to my room asking questions as if I was in the wrong room when the manager put the wrong room in the system. I went down to discuss the issue and address my concern and was told that the manager would be out till Monday. It's Tuesday and I still haven't heard anything. They had my room as unoccupied (same thing they did when I checked in and could've walked in on someone) and had me listed under another room number. This is unacceptable! I did not feel safe after that happened. They are short staffed and need to pay more attention at the front desk.

Property shares parking with public paid parking. They say only hotel guests have access to room floors but anyone can walk in and take a ride up to rooms or use stairs. Which is exactly what happened to us, around 10:30 at night a random person came by our room, tried to open our door and knocked asking to open. Thankfully we were wary enough to not do it and when we called front desk they were super nonchalant about it and just said he would be escorted out. Can you imagine if we opened thinking he was with staff? Also, they said they have security, but i only saw security one of the nights managing traffic in front of the drive up to the garage. Doors to the elevators remain open all day and all night.

I was thrilled with the service by Marteze and Royce. They were helpful, kind, and efficient. However, the facility left a lot to be desired. In our first room the toilet did not flush, and there was no hand soap. Royce quickly moved our room. The room was clean, if not slightly worn out. The pool area was a bit dirty as well. We were also in an elevator that stopped between floors for 5 minutes. Additionally the pool was closed on Saturday and Sunday, which we were not made aware of when booking. Finally, a cleaning rag was left on top of my things. Hotel is quite close to the west end dart station where there is a large population of unhoused people. All in all, the service was AMAZING, but the facilities left much to be desired.

Hotel is old, looks old, and the parking situation is seriously outdated and totally ineffective. Reminds me of a motor lodge from the 1960s. Crown Plaza should sell this property to Motel 6 or Hojo.
