Beautifully furnished private stone home with a large cook’s kitchen, laundry room, comfortable living room with two couches, dining space, dedicated work space, separate well-appointed bedroom with gorgeous outside views from your bed, full bath with brand-new fixtures including a large walk-in shower. The cottage has loads of natural light from the many large wood windows where bobcat, coyote, bunnies, peacocks, and farm animals often wander by.

A Little Slice of Heaven
You'll reach Bob White Cottage and find yourself right at home. I stayed here for a weekend getaway with a friend this December. We couldn't have asked for a better escape. The house was pristine and well stocked with the basics. Eggs and honey from the farm were made available in the kitchen, and when we took our hosts up on the offer of a barn tour, we were provided with even more. Smores kits and dry firewood were ready for us in the firepit outside. (And if you're into birding, I'm pleased to tell you even at the end of migrating season there's a shockingly large variety of birds on sight, including three types of woodpeckers and two types of kinglets.) Our sincerest thanks to our hosts, who were incredibly helpful and hospitable with every interaction we had. I would absolutely recommend this property to anyone already considering it.

Quaint cottage with all the details.
Had a small issue with check-in but host was able to resolve it quickly. The cottage was a great size, had all the essentials plus the most thoughtful extras like smores, hot chocolate, eggs, games, and all the high quality pillows and linens you could desire! We really enjoyed the location- you were in close proximity to groceries, shopping, restaurants, literally anything you could want. Overall very great experience and great place to stay.

An Oasis
You never expected to find such a gem as you are driving in a very suburban and populated area. As you approach the property it turns into an unpaved road and open land and fenced in animals appear. The cottage has been restored to where modern meets rustic. The back porch gives you a relaxing view of the grazing gosts. In the field next to the cottage I got to pet a horse. The nice touches were the farm fresh eggs and coffee and water in the fridge. I highly recommend this place for your next stay in the metro area.

Totally unexpected little respite in the city!
Wish we actually could have been there longer. We were just there for a night before flying out of DFW. Even our Uber driver that dropped us off thought it was super cool where it was. Kind of fun to also hear the crowd of a Friday night high school football game from the house. Loved the eggs and honey too. And the bunnies everywhere.

This cottage is on a farm in the middle of the city. Location is 5 ⭐️- the cottage is redone and couldn’t be cuter! Well stocked in the kitchen - even with fresh eggs and fresh honey. The hosts gave us a barn tour - we met the chickens and the goats! Buy carrots - the animals love to be fed! John and Janvier are the perfect hosts. We will go back on our way through Dallas. Tons of great things to do and restaurants in Fower Mound and Grapevine. Cannot say enough about this place! Highly recommend!

Such a Gem
This little cottage is truly a gem in the middle of the city. We loved everything about the place. The horse came to visit us in the evening, the rooster greeted us in the morning. You literally turn down a dirt road off a busy city thoroughfare, but as you go down the drive, you loose all sense of being in the middle of the city. We LOVE it and will stay again when we are in Dallas. It is also super close to the airport and Grapevine, the main reason we chose this location.

Baseball tournament trip
We come into Flower Mound several times a year for baseball tournaments and visits with our boys…This hidden gem is perfect!! Tucked away from the hustle and bustle of the city and just minutes away from where our boys live is great…The boys love all the farm animals and even got to feed the horses and goats some apples…Will definitely be coming back!!

Beautiful area and just right
This cottage is in a quiet and beautiful area. Very unique location- you wouldn't guess you are in the middle of a city, very secluded and yet everything so close around you. There is a bedroom with a queen bed. We were 4, and the the couch does not have a pull out bed. There is a smaller futon that fits one, so we had one of us sleep on the couch. It can sleep 4 if someone sleeps on the couch. It worked for us and we were happy with the location. Vacuuming the area rug in the living room would be helpful, there were what appeared to be dog hairs on it. Husband is allergic to cats but he was fine, so assuming they were dog hairs. Overall, it was a beautiful cottage and had everything we needed. Would definitely recommend. My kids also loved all the bunnies that came out at night!!

THE BEST OF BOTH WORLDS - Complete escape in the middle of everything!
Magical is the best way to describe this listing - you feel completely removed from "real life" but you are in the middle of everything at the Bob White cottage. Unbelievably clean and comfortable, well stocked, totally relaxing, beautiful surroundings, and communicative owners. To be honest, better than pictured! For those of you not familiar with the Dallas Fort Worth area - it's VERY spread out and you are going to end up driving no matter what. This rental gave us a great home base for our trip, with easy drives to all of our plans, while also being close to everything and anything we could need. Make sure you plan time to just chill and take in this beautiful cottage - we wish our itinerary had allowed for more of that! HIGHLY recommend, would stay again in a heartbeat.
