Lovely entrance to the hotel and nice outdoor area to sit on if the weather was good. Good big room with decent over the bath shower.

All the staff were very accommodating and super helpful! It may only have been in the room we stayed in but the floorboards were quite squeaky, but that did not cause any problems! just a comment!

Lovely Hotel However on going to room , furniture /Bedside tables in room 25 Looking worn and in need of repair/replacement Shower could not be cooled down enough, would have been concern if staying longer than 1 night All hotel staff were polite, professional but very friendly , a skill in its self and much appreciated

Great hotel near Dumfries House
Lovely hotel with friendly, welcoming staff. Our room was huge with a big sitting area and an enormous bed. Our only mishap was at dinner when I was served chicken tempura instead of vegetable tempura.

Dumfries house stay
Well located for Dumfries house only 7 minutes this is by Far the best hotel in the village with a good restaurant and bar. Even though there was a wedding during our stay we heard nothing and had an excellent night's sleep

We really liked the hotel the staff on reception were very helpful, the room was clean and tidy the on suite was large bright with a great shower. The restaurant staff were very friendly and helpful. What I envisioned a long established hotel should be, would definitely stay there again.
