So, this place was recommended to us by a friend during a happy hour conversation. We'd never heard of it or Deep Creek Lake. But after a little research my wife and I decided it was a place we needed to visit for a getaway. Since Juneteenth is a federal holiday, we decided to take a couple of days midweek and spend them here. Where do I start? A cozy, comfy bed and breakfast that places customer satisfaction as the top priority. We visited the site and were prompted to select the room we wanted. We chose a room with a king-sized bed and a spa tub on the top floor called the Sang Run room and booked it for two nights. The room was clean and elegantly decorated with a full bathroom and shower in addition to the tub. A gas fireplace sits near the tub (unfortunately, because it was the middle of the summer we didn't have a chance to use it; I can only imagine how luxurious it must be in the dead of winter to lay in that spa tub with a fire going in the fireplace). A flatscreen Vizio TV with Roku was in the room with two comfortable lounge chairs right in front. Downstairs is a porch that runs the entire south side of the house, with rocking chairs and tables so you can enjoy the breeze off the lake. Snacks (brownies, chocolate-chip cookies, homemade marshmallows) are available 24-7, and there's a popcorn maker with bags of popcorn usually available.
