Our family of six had a great 1-night stay here. It was fun to be able to bring our cavapoo too! The check-in keyless entry was easy (make sure to take a screenshot of the code and start directions before traveling, because when you get to the house you won't have service). Wifi was easy to sign into, home was clean and beds were comfortable. The home is cozy and small while simultaneously feeling spacious for all being together. Exactly what you want! The upstairs living space is great and the large windows make you feel like you are in the trees! The large TVs were nice to have and worked great too!
We loved having a fire in the backyard firepit while still being close to the house to run back and forth for smores supplies, drink refills, etc. Some seating back by the fire pit would make it even better!
A few things worth noting:
- there is not a dishwasher, so if you don't love doing dishes by hand, consider bringing paper plates, etc. Foil/parchment will also help make baking clean-up a breeze
- there are not wine glasses, only tall water and short rocks glasses, so bring your own if that is important to you
- grab firewood on your way into the Hocking Hills area for the firepit
- the water is safe but some may not love the smell/taste; bring your own if desired.
Adding curtains to the upstairs bedrooms would be nice for those adults (and more importantly, children) that don't want to wake up and go to sleep with the sun.
