I haven't been to the Del for over 15 years. I was very impressed with the hotel. The rennovation the hotel did was excellent. The cottages were fabulous. Great view of the ocean and walking distance to the bech and the lovely town of Coronado. My wife and I had a great long weekend. The only downside is no room service since Covid but the town is so close you can walk to restaurants. Lovely weekend at the Del

We go to The Del for the 'old style' service. This grand and luxurious hotel has always been a wonderful retreat, and we go several times a year. It feels like home. At this time, the true value for ultimate service and hospitality is at Beach Village. If you want a lovely oceanfront hotel, stay in the Victorian building or the Shorehouse. If you want true luxury and service that stands the test of time, you have to stay in the Beach Village. I recommend it very highly.

On of the two villas I rented was a two bedroom The villla didn’t have hot water for both units requiring cold showers to start the morning off This was repaired later the day. One of the bedrooms never had a working Tv. It would have been nice to know the complex was under construction and the main pool nearest out villa was closed. Claire at the Village was over the top helpful the Valet team was really great and the Buffet and views were great the Cottage at the beachfront with fire pit was so Beautiful definitely would recommend this spot!!!!
