Disliked: Cleanliness, staff & service
For starters, there was a facility fee that was not disclosed in the Expedia listing. (We were told we could recoup some of it if we went to the bar or spent money on sundries.) Although it’s downtown Columbus, we had difficulty finding an open restaurant for dinner within walking distance (not wanting to retrieve our car from the overpriced valet service). The biggest problem was the room and lack of response on it. The curtain was in shreds, as though an animal had tried to escape. There was dog food on the floor that had never been cleaned up. The TV didn’t work, and when I went to call the front desk, neither did the phone. I called from my cell, and the front desk attendant asked me to text him photos of the shredded curtain - which I did, but never got a response - and he promised to send up an engineer to fix the TV., who never showed. We waited up for over an hour someone to show up or call me, before giving up and going to bed - wondering for an hour or two if we’d suddenly be getting a knock on the door in the middle of the night. We’ll be staying in Columbus a lot over the next few years - we were dropping our freshman off at OSU - but we won’t be staying here again.
