Makowata Farm by Tiny Away
Summary:
Looking for an escape to a countryside farm? Makowata Farm by Tiny Away provides an impeccable farmstay experience in peace and quiet for all its visitors! This farm stay QLD getaway is an organic farm that thrives alongside a variety of animals like sheep, cattle, geese, and more. Wander through orchards filled with fruit trees and vines, tasting fresh fruits as you explore. We invite you to share in our love for farming, knowledge, and serene space.
The Space:
Makowata Farm by Tiny Away is countryside bliss in the rural town of Lowmead, just a 45 minute drive to the coastal town of Agnes Waters. The tiny home at Makowata Farm is shaded under an enormous, ornamental fig tree, providing a covered comfort during the warmer months among the sub tropical weather of the area. Near to various local attractions such as Chinamans Beach, Deepwater National Park, Turkey Beach, Rules Beach and Bundaberg Botanic Gardens.
It's a cozy 139-square-foot tiny home with comfortable and well-furnished guest rooms, wide public spaces, and comfortable seating areas. Easy access to water, split air conditioning, a kitchenette, cooking equipment, and excellent bathroom facilities. These amenities include an eco-friendly cassette toilet with a removable waste holding tank, hand basin, and shower (gas heated for hot showers).
If you plan to spend your farm stay QLD getaway here, we advise that you bring your basic necessities, such as food and water during your stay with us. Thank you.
Guest Access:
Guests will have access to the tiny house and the surrounding area except our private, main home. The shared accessible space includes the garden/backyard and the laundry washer.
There is also a second toilet in a separate area in a shed if needed.
Our property is a small farm, which people are welcome to enjoy. Do engage with us to understand our property prior to walking around. As cattle can kick and livestock is roaming around.
The Neighborhood:
Makowata Farm by Tiny Away is surrounded by larger farms, we have a good relationship with them all. It’s a good base to explore seaside Agnes Waters, 45 minutes away, or Seventeen Seventy, another town by the sea. These are both renowned for their quaintness and beaches.
Our local recommendations:
Sightseeing
- Chinamans Beach is a secluded, quiet, natural beach where you can escape the crowds. It is an unpatrolled beach where you can explore rock pools.
- Deepwater National Park features an unspoilt coastal landscape with long sandy beaches, freshwater creeks and great fishing spots.
- Turkey Beach is a quintessential sleepy fishing village famous for its crabbing and fishing spots. Here, you'll find some locals lurking around by the shore who you can get some hot fishing tips from.
- Rules Beach is named after the Rule family, one of the early pioneering families in the area. Rules Beach is several miles long and it’s an idyllic beachfront location.
- Bundaberg Botanic Gardens covers 27 hectares of land and features a variety of 10,000 trees and shrubs. A magnificent lake attracting many birds is the centerpiece of the Gardens.
-Agnes Water Tavern is a family owned and operated tavern offering pub grub in a huge, smart watering hole with a sleek wood deck, beer keg tables and a leafy outlook.
