I liked the hotel & its location however there are a few things which need improving: the tv system didn’t work properly; the iron didn’t work properly and you couldn’t lower the ironing board once raised; the forehead was pretty warm, but I suspect this was due to it’s closed in location; the bathroom sink was really low.

The staff are lovely at this hotel. We were greeted with a welcome drink and our room was upgraded. Unfortunately there is construction going on right now and our ocean view was spoiled by it. The hotel is modern and fresh. Bed is comfy. The Rooftop has a restaurant, small gym and pool. The location seems to be at the opposite end to everything we want to see in Colombo which means extra tuk tuk travel to get where we want to be.

Our first room smelt strongly of smoke so we were moved immediately, which was great. We accepted the second room but it still smelled damp. The hotel rooms are old and tired. Ours had a stained carpet. The hotel lobby and pool etc are all nice and modern and the breakfast was good. Location is okay - near the beach but the area is a bit questionable. As soon as we left the hotel someone had cornered us to tell us about mafia-run tuktuks. The mall opposite is not fantastic but can get a ride the Galle Face mall which is better.
