Was not a fan of how we had to get to our room. The elevator didn't go to our room so we had to ride the elevator to the floor below go thru a hallway and had to climb some stairs with our luggage up to our room. The breakfast buffet could have offered more. There were only pastries, fruit and coffee. More choices would have been nice.

The location and price point for the hotel were fantastic. It was so easy to walk to the town centre and the train station and the setting of the hotel along the river front was lovely. The free coffee and pastries in the morning was also a great bonus. We were in a room at the back of the hotel, which overlooked some bars and so in the evenings it was a bit noisy, but this didn’t continue on in to the early hours. There was a lot of construction going on in the town centre when we went, and so there was a fair bit of noise outside from 8am onwards, which could be heard even with the window closed. The room was beautifully decorated, modern and stylish. The only downside was, the toilet cistern seemed to keep refilling or regulating the water every 5 minutes, and so there was a constant flushing noise which became quite annoying after a while! I believe it did stop after a couple of hours, but as a light sleeper, this kept me awake on the first night of our stay. Thank goodness I brought ear plugs! All in all a lovely stay, and we would definitely return in the future - hopefully when less construction work would be happening.

Our Double panoramic room was TINY. The bed was in an alcove so that only one side was accessible. This resulted in having to climb over your partner to get in or out. The bed sheet didn’t fit so you ended up sleeping on the bare mattress. The bed lights could only be switched on/off from one side of the bed. There was only one bedside table (the size of an iPhone). The lift didn’t go to our floor so we had to carry our own suitcases up two flights of stairs, no offer of help from the staff. This was a very budget hotel charging luxury prices. (Room 307).

The hotel is ideally situated, just a 10-minute walk from the Cologne Cathedral and with a lovely view of the river. The accommodations were clean, with high-quality furniture and a well-maintained bathroom. However, there were a few drawbacks. The hotel is located above several restaurants, which led to some noise late into the night, though this was not a major issue. The primary concern we encountered was with one particular receptionist. Upon our arrival on the 2nd of September, we were met with an indifferent attitude; the receptionist did not offer a smile or make any effort to be welcoming or attentive. This lack of warmth was disappointing, as it did not reflect the level of hospitality one expects when visiting a hotel. Unfortunately, this same individual was on duty when we checked out on the morning of the 9th, displaying the same impersonal demeanor—no farewell, no thanks, not even a smile. While the rest of the reception team was friendly and professional, the poor service from this one team member significantly detracted from our overall experience. In hospitality, creating a welcoming and attentive atmosphere is essential, and this aspect fell short during our stay.

Great location for visiting Koln attractions and the Old Town but room we had was tiny (double bed pushed against wall which couldn’t be made up properly so was uncomfortable ). Floor our room was on not served by an elevator so had to carry heavy luggage in a curved stairwell no help offered from staff. Bathroom flooded with every shower so impossible not to follow the green policy as had to have towels replaced daily as needed to use them to mop up water.

Our room was 310 at the front of the hotel however the lift only goes to the 4th or the 2nd floor (3rd if you are at the back of the hotel) so you have to walk and carry suitcases up or down a floor to get to your room. The room was compact to say the least, good job we didn’t have a cat. One side of the bed was up against the wall so you had to climb out of bed to the bathroom. The bathroom was very small but nice shower. No bar or restaurant in the hotel but you could use the bar/restaurant next door and get 10% discount (there is a big sign saying this) however the restaurant staff have other ideas. Even though I pointed this out he would not give us the 10% off I went to reception and spoke to the guy on the desk he went and spoke to the waiter he still was not having it. They tried to come up with ways to make the bill to what he said but could not, in the end they gave up and give me my money. The car parking is about 300m away over well spaced out cobblestones so if you have heavy cases be aware. This is not some where I would ever stay again be warned.

Lovely Cologne Hotel
This is a very nice hotel right on the river in the heart of Cologne. We had an apartment for two kids and two adults, and we could have had four kids there such was the space available. Friendly staff and very nice and spacious rooms.

The property is in the heart of Cologne old town with beautiful views of Rhine river, beautiful cathedral and bridge. The location is very convenient with walking distance to Cologne Cathedral and the main train station. The property is clean, staff is courteous; yet it was a bit confusing that the hotel is no longer offer onsite breakfast; we were instructed to another location with some credits; we were opt for getting breakfast on our own. Overall, it is a fine place to stay.

Lovely and clean hotel right smack in front of the Rhein River. Beds are comfy, air conditioning were perfect and location is amazing because you are surrounded by great restaurants. There is lift, but you may have to go through some doors and narrow stairs if you’re staying in the next block, so keep that in mind, Amazing staff, Georgian and Stephanie, for their amazing hospitality.

Terrible service room
The room is small but good for short stays. The mattress is not very comfortable. The location is great. The room service is horrible, even with a do not disturb sign. They came into the room while I was sleeping. On the last day, the card machine was broken and I had to pay in cash. The receptionists generally stay on their phones all day and do not care about the guests.

Great location just not for us
Hotel is in a great location but is between 2 joined buildings which can be confusing when trying to find your room. Within 10 minutes walking distance of the Köln Central Station, Lindtt Museum and 2 relaxed squares filled with restaurants and bars. The hotel rooms are modern but the rest of the hotel is very outdated. TV in the bedroom can not be changed from German audio/subtitles which makes it pointless to have for anybody who does not speak German. In the room there is a fridge and safe which are both free to use which is a plus. We had 2 instances of hotel staff just walking into our room (once while sleeping so didn’t hear them knock) and once while getting dressed (they didn’t knock on this occasion). This made my Mrs feel uncomfortable and on edge whenever we were in the room. Free pastries and coffee is available for all guests between 7am - 9:30am. Area the hotel is in is very expensive €7 for a small (400ml) draught coke) and €4.50 for a small (250ml) water.
