"Lovely historic farmhouse but still updated with all the modern amenities you'd want. The kitchen in particular is in excellent condition and well stocked. Appreciated that there was even breakfast options like cereals out. It is likely obvious, but should be noted it is not walkable to anything and you must have a car to get to a grocery store, restaurant, town, etc. The hosts brought us fresh baked bread, butter and jam one morning, and it is the BEST bread I've ever had in my entire life. My husband and I couldn't stop talking about it and I wish I had the recipe! "

"Stayed 2 nights on our recent visit. B&B is beautiful. Rooms clean and comfortable. Staff very friendly. Breakfast was delicious with nice variety. The place is a bit remote and accessible via tiny back roads. Watch out that map apps may have to go off the main road many km earlier than necessary. Walk around the property was very pleasant. Would recommend."

Gwyneth was the best host one could ask for, very friendly and helpful throughout my stay and indeed for both settling in and heading out. The place was lovely to stay in, featuring every utility you could desire, and felt very welcoming and comfortable as almost a home away from home. My only wish is that I could have stayed longer! For any undecided, The Brown Hen is definitely worth a stay. "
