I checked in to another hotel. I didn't have a reservation there but they gave us a room. This was our 1st time in Cleveland, visiting the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame. We are 2 handicaped seniors. I didn't realize the error on our part until after we checked into the other hotel and realized we were in the wrong hotel. The low rating was because we were charged for not staying where we made our reservation. I understand the charge but really would appreciate a credit. This mistake was an expensive lesson. 1 elevator was not working when I arrived. 20 min wait to get to the room. Valet parking was a 90 minute wait so I parked my car off site. I work for a local government and was told to bring the forms which I did and the taxes would be taken off at check in. At check in I was told it would be refunded at check out. When I checked out they were not refunded, and I asked for a copy of the bill showing what it cost me. They said they would email it. No email for 4 hrs so I returned to the Hotel, and they gave me a receipt with not detail just showing a zero balance. She said because I booked thru Expedia she could not help me. Now I am out the taxes. I am not happy with Hampton Inn or Expedia.
