House was beautiful. Not as close to town as we thought but certainly doable. Weather was not great but overall we had a great time!

Great spot
Overall we had a great stay. The house was well equipped for our needs and the bedroom and bathroom set up was perfect for our group. Easy walk to downtown. We were expecting a pool, it ended up not being a big deal, our friends we were visiting had one. The host was Johnny-on-the-spot for our questions and asks. Our only feedback was some bedroom windows would not open which we kinda missed at night.

Family vacation
Great host. Property was very nice. As advertised. Loved the big open living room. Fenced in yard for pets is a plus. Stand alone AC units were a plus along with the window AC units. Middle upstairs bedroom gets hot. No AC in that room.

Incredible Visit!
We had an amazing stay in Clayton! Visiting the Thousands Islands is definitely a gorgeous and unique experience and we highly recommend. Our house was incredibly clean, homey, spacious and so convenient to all that Clayton has to offer - about a 10 minute walk. We were traveling with 3 children (9-12 years). The house provided them space and a variety of indoor and outdoor things to keep them busy. The hosts were attentive and accommodating (even when we had silly Clayton area questions). Other reviews mentioned concerns with AC not being sufficient, but we stayed during a relatively hot week and didn’t have any issues with the house being uncomfortable or not cool. We were completely comfortable our whole stay. If we ever visit the area again, we would definitely stay here. We ate at Shipwreck Eatery, Bella’s, Hops Spot, Wood Boat Brewery, and Channelside. All were delicious and had different food experiences. We also went to the farmers market Thursday in town. We took the Clayton Boat Tour to Boldt Castle (highly recommend). We rented a pontoon boat from Swan Bay Resort to enjoy the river and had a great experience. Again, highly recommend because the river is so vast and beautiful - you can get a better feel for just how awesome the Thousand Islands area is. We were also able to check out Alexandria Bay via the boat and docking at the municipal docks for a $5 fee. Clayton Distillery has delicious tastings and yummy bourbon cold brew drinks (Bloody Mary’s too).

Fabulous Home
We had a wonderful time at our stay in Clayton. The house was exactly as described. The hosts were very responsive and made sure we had everything we needed. The beds were very comfortable and the house was filled with many amenities. It was a short walk into town with great shops and restaurants. We cant wait to come back.

Nice home, great host, but…
First, the home is beautiful, clean and set up perfectly for families. Our group of nine ranged from age 6 to 86. The toys and games were a huge hit. Plenty of towels and bedding was nice. Two rooms, the complaint was the beds were way too firm, but the queen and king beds were great. Unfortunately, though we had an issue every night that kind of put a damper on the stay. Mostly because the time of evening the events occurred caused everyone an inconvenience including the host. The first night one tv would not work and the host had to come reprogram it. The second night a hair dryer caused a breaker to blow, and we lost power in part of the house. Then we lost internet and the host had to be called again. The last night we lost internet again. The televisions use internet so this was an issue for the men in our group. No tv is a big deal for them. The host responded most times within 30 minutes, but the last event because it did happen at 10pm, we did not get a response until the next morning. It was just uncomfortable because it felt like we were annoying the host, with our calls, but truly the issues required his assistance. Again, the house was very clean and setup beautifully. Our family in the end did enjoy, except for the technical issues.

Great Place
Very nice 4-bed house with open floor plan. The place was accurate to the listing. Very clean, kitchen was well equipped, and the owners were very responsive. There is also a large yard, nice hot tub and plenty of parking. The owner's are a young first class family who also run the Ship Wreck Eatery, a water front breakfast and lunch restaurant. It well worth stopping by and is by far the best food place in town with a great waterfront deck. The 1000 island region is an absolute treasure. If your a boater, there's a marina just past the house called Pier 225 / Mark that rents slips with floating docks. You should be aware that the house has two portable A/C units and one window unit that cover the large rec room and master bed room. There is no central air throughout which excludes A/C to the three other bed rooms.

Our group was very impressed with this property, and we had a wonderful stay. The house was beautiful, spacious, and very clean. The decor was modern and relaxing. There is plenty of room to spread out and lots of toys and games for kids. Everything you need is included and the kitchen is well stocked. The hot tub was a delightful extra. We would highly recommend this listing!

Nice house
We enjoyed our stay. Accommodated all of us with lots of space and very clean and up to date. There were 2 portable air conditioners and 1 window air conditioner, which was not enough to keep 3 of the 4 bedrooms cool, which made it difficult to sleep during the hot days we were there. The host, Morgan, was great and was very prompt with communications or concerns.😎
