Bed and bathroom were nice, room was spacious. Lack of microwave was a huge miss. Having defrosted but still cold lunch that we brought was not nice, and the on-site food options were horrendously expensive, so we looked elsewhere in Christchurch for other food options. Parking was convenient and easy, but also shockingly expensive. I appreciate that there were spoons, glasses, and mugs. I would've really liked hot chocolate sachets provided, instead of so many different types of tea that I won't drink. This form mentions free breakfast, when in fact the booking explicitly said breakfast was not provided for free.

I have booked Rydges Latimer several times over many years thru hotels.com Parking has always been “ available” and Free. This time it was $25 per night. But you only find that out when you arrive. So be warned. If you have a car, add $25 per night to the charge. Because the hotel doesn’t tell you that before you book.

Very walkable. Close to the city centre for shopping and restaurants. Close to Hagley Park (20 min walk) which is beautiful for just walking around but also contains the Botanical Garden.
