Perched amongst the treetops, this unique property offers an unparalleled retreat.

The spacious and stylish property provides breathtaking city views from its sun-soaked decks and expansive living areas. Despite its proximity to the city, the atmosphere here is serene and secluded, surrounded by the peaceful sounds of native birdsong and ever-changing vistas. A private haven where you can relax and unwind, enjoying the perfect blend of urban convenience and natural beauty. Welcome to paradise!

Guest accommodation is the entire property - a spacious two-storey architecturally-designed home with stunning views across the city.

There are four large, sunny bedrooms (1 King bedroom with ensuite upstairs and 3 Queen bedrooms downstairs), multiple living areas, modern full-size kitchen and recently renovated bathroom plus two separate toilets and laundry. It's an upmarket, unique and comfortable home with plenty of space for larger groups or extended family.

With two large heatpumps, bedroom heaters, double-glazing and extensive insulation, the house is warm and cosy on even the coldest Canterbury days. We're also perfectly positioned for sunshine so often the heating isn't needed even in the middle of winter - and we generate most of our power through solar panels on the roof.

The house has decks, pergolas and lots of sunny outdoor spaces, private walkways through the trees and quiet places to sit and relax. Even though it's so close to town, guests tell us that it feels wonderfully secluded and peaceful.

The unique setting also leads to safety hazards (open waterways, trip hazards, high walkways, etc), so the property is not suitable for children.

Hazards on the property make the gardens inaccessible for those with mobility issues but the top floor of the house is accessible on the flat from our driveway so we suggest that any elderly or less mobile guests stay in the King bedroom on the upper floor.

As the house is set amongst a number of trees, there will often be a lot of leaves around the property. These build up very quickly so despite sweeping of driveways and decks between guests, you should always expect that there will be some leaves around.

Our rubbish bins are small and only collected once every two weeks. As such, excessive rubbish left behind causes major problems and impacts other guests. Please use the yellow (recycling), green (food waste) and red (general waste) bins on the driveway during your stay. Feel free to use the bins for any rubbish accumulated during your stay but these cannot be used for rubbish brought from elsewhere as we do not have space. It is really important that all recycling (paper, plastic, glass, cans) goes into the yellow bin, otherwise the red bin will fill up very quickly!
Make yourself comfortable in this air-conditioned vacation home, featuring a kitchen with a refrigerator and an oven. There's a private balcony. Complimentary wireless internet access keeps you connected, and a Smart television is provided for your entertainment. Conveniences include a desk and a microwave.

Pleasant & Warm Property
The house is warm and comfortable. Although it is the owners' normal residence they had packed away most of their personal items which was thoughtful. There are two tanks of quite large tropical fish but that's fine if it is your 'thing'. We ate out but if we'd wanted to have guests for a meal this would have been challenging as the crockery items were tailored to the number in our family. Lots of outdoor living space and the garden is really interesting.
