Standard motel services. Water pressure in shower was excellent. Disappointing that I wasn't able to arrange a late check-out on arrival. Would try to do this in advance if there is a next time.
when me and my partner got there, we were told to be in room four and given the key for room four. before that we were told not to book through expedia with a very annoyed tone and to book directly next time (there will not be a next time) but if there was such a problem booking through expedia it wouldn't be an option
we went into our room and it was very clearly not ours because there were two bedrooms and additional beds in the livingroom but this was the key we were given and we didn't want to bother anyone so we set our things down and went out
when we were done with our activities, my partner got a text that they moved our stuff to another room and the way the text was worded made it out like we were stupid for not knowing this wasn't our room but we had places to be and if this was the room they were going to give us, that was going to be fine with us
we asked for the key to our new room when we got back, got it and then some of our things were missing which meant they were still in the room, but there were now people in there so we had to wait until the morning to get our stuff
we asked for our stuff again in the morning and we were told to go up there and ask for it back?? so we did only to see these new people were using my items and had drank our drinks and put them in the bin
we got 20$ back for the drinks but i cant believe our stuff was lost and used like that and then me and my partner were forced to fix it ourselves when none of this was our fault
The apartment’s location and size were great. However, it was falsely advertised. We booked based on the photos provided on the website and expected a modern kitchen and ensuite bathroom.
In reality, the 3-bedroom apartment we stayed had an outdated kitchen that looked nothing like the photos. There was no ensuite bathroom yet it was specifically stated it was. The managers admitted that the photos were taken of a totally different facility and falsely advertised as what we were booking.
It is disappointing that what was advertised was not the reality. On check-out we were offered one night free as a compensation which we accepted.
I would be very sceptical to book anything through the booking website in the future.
Some frustrating details: handles in the kitchen were greasy, tea towels looked worn out, light didn’t work, the dishwasher had a dirty fork and other disgusting stuff at the bottom of it. The toilet seat was broken off, supplied towels had an unpleasant odour. The tea and coffee (promoted as supplied) were never refilled during our 5 nights stay.
We were greeted warmly on arrival, despite feeling bad that we arrived fairly late at 9:45pm, I was assured that it was no problem. The room was clean, spacious and well equipped... just perfect for our brief stay in Christchurch. I loved the extra touch of having a Dolce Gusto coffee machine in our room! What a treat! I will definitely stay here again.
The room configuration was weird. There was a queen bed in the kitchen and two single beds in the bedroom. The bedroom door wouldn't close because the bed was in the way. The towels were dirty after they were 'replaced'.
Our hosts at Comfort Inn were very friendly & offered good advice on how to get around & what to see. The Inn was within walking distance of food & shopping. The area around “the church” was walkable with lots to see & do. Recommend staying here.
